I had a look through this section, and I found numerous threads discussing things about SSBM, but they were all on individual things, so I decided to make this thread.

This is basically a thread for anything you want to talk about on SSBM. If you're having problems with an Event, post it here. If you want to submit a stratagy for your favourite character, post it here. If you just want to chill, and chat about different characters, hell, come here as well

I'll start.

I like lots of characters on SSBM. I really like Pichu, despite her glaring weaknesses. The only character I really suck at is Donkey Kong. All the rest I can hold my own with, and I consider myself to be half-decent at Ganondorf, Marth, Falco, Zelda/Shiek, and Kirby. My best character would have to be Yoshi. He just rocks. His flutter kick does awesome damage, and he's almsot invincible while in the air. He has no recovery 'B' move though, which is a blow.

Oh, and another thing, has anyone got every trophy? I think I have almost all of them, since I can't get any more in the lottery, and I've finished every Event.

I don't have Capt Olimar though, since I don't have Pikmin

The character i'm the best with (i assume) is ganondorf. Powerful, heavy, and not too fast (lol).

I loved the game so much when it came out <3 (To mention I got that game as a first one when I got my gamecube that year n_n)

I played it and I found it very addictive actually. I like so many characters; Ganondorf, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Mario, Ice Climbers (Lol. D=), and Mr. Game & Watch (I kinda use him a lot).

As I got through the game (when I was actually done, I mean, unlocking EVERYTHING) I wanted to cheat on it. I really miss my Action Replay, but it was lots of fun to cheat into the game. I got to unlock very secert trophies such as the Mario & Yoshi trophy, Samus unmasked trophy, etc; yes, I have ALL trophies even ones I bet you don't got *SHOT* I even screwed around with the game as in seeing tons of graphics I didn't see before (I would describe it more like stickmen) and playing as characters you can't even IMAGINE playing as (Such as Crazy Hand/Master Hand, Giga Bowser, and that... sand... bag... thing). Really, that sand bag dude is weird; he doesn't move much during gameplay and can... jump. (How cool is that? :O) I got a picture of me playing as Giga Bowser in Melee mode, along with my sisters as playing with the normal characters you are able to unlock with the game. (Once I find it, I willl assure you I will post it on here. ^_^)

I still play around with it when I got the time. Too bad my AR broke then. (*Tear drop*) Hehe, I still beat my old friend from New Jersey... she's weak.

I love this game. It's the game I play most out of all my games.

I'm best with Ganondorf and Marth, but I also play alot as Link, Mewtwo and Samus.

I can Wave-Dash, short hop, air recover and all that stuff and I'm currently training myself in jumping with the X-button instead of with the joystick.

I have beaten everything and I have every trophy, except for Diskun Trophy. For that one I just need to get the No-Damage Clear bonus. Does anyone have any tips on how to do that? (I know how to get it, I just can't get it)

I always=Pichu. Seriously. He own's. Especially in goggle form. The average misinformed gamer we'll be LOLing his head off while I beat him up with the ultimate awesome character! Yes, Pichu. People dislike him for his frail defense and all, but he barely hurt's himself with his electric attacks so that's not a problem. You expect them to make an uber-powerful and fast character with no weaknesses? I think not.

Oh yeah, although I don't know how I got the Sherrif trophy.

I just downloaded some video battles over the internet, and dear God these people are good.

Anyway, I trained with Yoshi some more today. After practicing for an hour, I managed to beat three level 8-9 Falco's on a team against me.

Goddamn those guys are tough.

I'm good with Ganondorf too Dr. Zafs. What's your stratagy with him? Personally I whittle up their damage slowly, smash them off, then spike 'em with the down B move.

I like this game. I often used Pikachu or Link. They're my fave characters. I have not completed the trophy collection. Collecting those are very hard (especially getting Master Hand Trophy or Crazy Hand Trophy).

well um... on computers I use thier own stupitity aginst themselfs (lol) but use attacks when you can, dodge as many as you can, predict alot, put them into the air alot (boy do i love his smash attacks(and his meteor smash(i think thats what it's called)), and when they are to about 70% to 90% smash them of the level. (though i use smash moves with him too often (lol))

One of the things i like to do with ganondorf is put him on a team by him self 2 level 9s one another team and one level 9 one the last. It's kinda hard but its fun. I can't do 3 level 9 on a team against me though... If you ask me they need to go past level 9 for the computers level 9 is too low.

Something what's also fun is to go against a single computer, but with Handicap 9 while you have Handicap 1. That is pretty hard.

The character I always use is Luigi.
some people don't like him cos he is 'slow', but then those people don't play with him properly!

i discovered it when i was 6 in the (how do you say opvang(<--Dutch) in english?). now i usely play SSBM with C. Falcon. Fast, GREAT attacks and Super stong! BTW have you guys saw the Black hole glitch also in this forum?

I don't understand why people dislike him. he's my second favorite character. maybe its because his recovery move is only in one line up.

MY favorite is Roy. I've taken out my mate (Gannondorf) SSSOOOOO many times with his counter attack. And Fighting Master, your right. Get 3 other mates over and it's the PERFECT game. I guess I'm just crazy about this game, can't wait for SSBR

Luigi's recovory moves are too bad for me. His side-B only moves him to the side, not up, his up-B only moves him up, not to the side.

It takes a lot of skill to get it right.

You Pair it with his slow falling.
You use his side and B as soon as you get it far away, and keep doing it until you are close enough to use his Up and B to get back on the ledge.

 

[Master Mewtwo]

I love this game. The best Gamecube game of all time. Endless hours of fun, my favourite characters would be Mewtwo, Bowser and Roy. Love to beat everyone else.

I love that game!!!!!!!!! my best characters are Mr. Game and Watch and Roy. I sometimes use Marth, because he's pretty much the same as Roy

I am currently training with Fox.

Seeing as my little brother is good with Falco, I kinda overlooked Fox, since I wanted to have a different character than him.

But now, I'm training with him, and goddamn is he good. Fast, with awesome combo's, his shine has a billion and one uses, he can spam blaster on maps like Temple, his fast fall discourages potential attackers when falling...

He just totally pwns.

Hey, I have a question. I got this trophy, it's called "Alpha" and it's this square panda thing. It says "future release" on it. Obviously, whatevera game it's in is out by now. So....anyone know what game it's from?
