• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

Not really. Again, the sprites have to be in there; it's proper programming. Nothing more and certainly not indicative of any future events, at least not in and of itself.

Alvion Region it is!
do you think they'll have an event to have Vincinti, Zerkom and reskeam (I think i mispelt.) shiny?

I know.

It just seems logical that if you had to have sprites in a game and could make a very interesting use for them....

Say, I thought Route 14's fog only went away on your Birthday?

But I'm on it now, and the fog is gone.

The fog on my White version is gone too... is March 19th a notable date or something?

Must be, since my birthday isn't for another several months.
The dog is gone from Route 15, too.

They're actually really pretty, now that I can see them clearly.

When I first got to Castelia City, it was nighttime. It reminded me of Traverse Town from Kingdom Hearts.

I really like the Unova Region. It feels like a self-contained region with large cities, caves, a desert and forests. It feels like a diverse region. It has some of the most impressive locations in all of Pokémon: Castelia City, the bridges and the various routes (they are pretty long).
I like the fact that the region is pretty linear, but doesn't feel like a one way route. It feels like you are exploring a whole new world, yet you are guided and always know where to head next. It feels comfortable to play trough the game for the first time.
Yeah, Unova is a pretty cool region. The only gripe I have is that it's based on New York. Pretty lame.

New York and lame? Never thought I'd see that one.

Indeed, why do people dislike Unova because it's based on New York?
America? Heck if I know. It gives it more "flavor" as it were. You get a way more diverse ethnicity (the Psychics looked... middle eastern, which kind of works out nicely, if you think about it), which allows for different niches and whatnot to be filled that weren't able to be done before.

I for one am quite pleased with that.

And I think people are deliberately scrapping the barrel with a shovel trying to find stuff they "dislike".

Eh, oh well.

Let's go to the beach, each.
I remember disliking Unova, or Isshu as if was known back then, for no apparent reason. I guess I thought that the games wouldn't feel the same if they took place in a region based off of America rather than Japan. I was wrong of course since the games are excellent but I wasn't prepared for the shift from Japan to America back then. I think Unova ranks up there with Hoenn and Sinnoh now, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure everyone has a favorite region so I won't belittle someone else's opinion.

It's not like the previous regions had a completely Japanese feel, at least, they didn't feel "Japanese" to me, mainly because I doubt Japan has a group of seven islands made in a couple of days.
