The villians of pokemon: starting with Cyrus

Did anyone else feel that out of all the pokemon villians, Cyrus was the most insanely evil? I just had these moments with him when I was like, "good god. children play this game." Team aqua and magma are the close second with the whole changing geography thing. But Giovanni and team rocket just seem more like The Sopranos to me. But who knows, maybe in HG+SS he'll get eviler. I always think Commander Kashagi from queens musical = Cyrus since they look the same only Kashagi is a mommachild, and Cyrus is just evil.

First off, Giovanni will have nothing to do with Team Rocket in HGSS; he quit the organization and wandered into the mountains to train. He has nothing to do with them anymore.

Secondly, I actually like Team Rocket a lot more than Galactic because not only are they evil, but they're more believable. I mean, a huge underground crime syndicate that uses pokemon as tools in their slow quest for dominance? I could see that. A huge group of idiots working for a huge multimillion-dollar company whose leader has all of a sudden decided to take over the universe? Pretty epic, but godawful if you really think about it. I mean, if there's any form of government in pokemon, or law enforcement or anything, why are they not doing anything about Team Galactic, who has the biggest freaking buildings in the country, stealing everyone's pokemon? That's gotta be illegal; the Elite Four should go in and deal with something like that. But do they? No. They leave it up to some kid to deal with it; hell, Cynthia KNOWS what Cyrus is planning, and does absolutely NOTHING about it.

As far as Magma and Aqua go, they're both jokes. "We're gonna make more land for people to live on!" "No, we're gonna make more water for pokemon to live in!" "But then the people will all drown!" "But if there's too much land, then the pokemon of the sea won't be able to survive!" "Then whatever shall we do?" How about LEAVE EVERYTHING THE HELL ALONE?! Nature's fine as it is; Archie and Maxie are just the stupidest idiots ever, and the only reason why they got anyone to work under them is because all of their Admins are totally batsh** insane and their grunts are too scared of said Admins to do anything but ask "How high?" when they're told to jump.

I think that Giovanni's really the best out of all of them; he was the strongest trainer in all of Kanto outside of the Indigo Plateau, and actually has some decent character development. Cyrus wins "Most Diabolical", but isn't as good as Giovanni; even after his ultimate defeat, he's still a douche. Archie and Maxie come in dead last, as they're just totally retarded environmental terrorists with absolutely no idea about how nature works.

I just hope that the Rocket Admins in HGSS make decent villains...

oh yeah. cyrus is a total nutcase! i agree completely with you on everything.(i honestly thing that team aqua is carzier. they will drown out humanity while magma makes more land PLUS more energy(solar power)

Agreed. I mean, really. What super villains want to expand the sea or the land? It just screams environmentalists gone wrong.

As far as Team Galactic goes, yeah, they're pretty evil. However, they seem more like a joke to me than anything as well. "You have emotions so you're inferior. I'm going to create a new world without spirit." Blah blah blah. Yeah, Cyrus is evil and whatnot, but his grunts are a joke, his admins are laughable, and he himself is a total nutjob. That's not "the evilest team of all time," that's a comedy act.

Team Rocket's where it's all at. In my opinion, it's the most believable story out there. An underground crime syndicate run by the eighth gym leader of Kanto; a guy who really knows what he's doing at Pokémon obviously, and has the power and wealth from being a gym leader to actually make an organisation like Team Rocket. Trying to rule the world is a whole lot more realistic than cleansing it of spirit or soul.

Plus, let's face it. They've got the greatest costumes too x3

Team Galactic was just pretty stupid if you ask me.

I prefered TR more as well, due to their Pokespecial role which expanded on them. TR is used more then any other team because they're actually threatening.

Team Magma and Team Aqua's pokespecial role did the best they could, but they couldn't get over the fact that the two teams were utterly crazy (Maxie's plan wouldn't have even worked due to elementary grade science).

And good lord, Giovanni is not Ash's father.

Maxi & Archie: To teach the American kids to stay away from the Sea Shepherds. (Yes. All the kids totaly know that the Japanese are telling them this. Do -NOT- question it!)

Personally, I think that Cyrus and Giovanni are equal in evil-ness. Cyrus, with his want to destroy humanity and reform everything as he wills is what most generic evil guys want to do. Giovanni simply wants to cause internal damage to the infrastructure and people of the government, make a profit, etc. etc. Sort of gangish, and, i'm terrified of gangs so that's quite scary to me.

But, I'll give my vote to Giovanni and Team Rocket here. They're more believeable than two guys trying to expand the land/sea, and some guy who wants to recreate the Universe in his image... Which brings me to say, Cyrus is the most insane evil, but Giovanni is the most realistic evil.

Thank You. I think I've spent too much time on the 3rd gen forums, where people think they're the greatest villains ever. They aren't even villains. They're just dumb***es who decide they wan't to make more land or water, either of which are retarded ideas. There's really nothing evil about their plans, other than the outcomes, which is not what they intended. But yeah, TR ftw!

***** ≠ games. Like, at all. The only thing that MAY be right is that the rival in HGSS is Giovanni's son, but that's IT. The new leaders of Team Rocket are the Executives from the Sevii Islands mission and two other weirdos. If anything, Giovanni will show up somewhat randomly and maybe battle you, but only for the sake of battling, not for OMG U BEET MAI TEEM vengeance or anything; he's learned his lesson, and isn't doing anything with Team Rocket anymore. If he were, I think it would've been hinted at by now...

I think that Team Rocket was the most evil organization. They were mutating and changing the pokemon genetics in the pokemon special. Team Rocket also created the infamous Mewtwo. At least they accomplised the most out of all of the evil organizations. >.>
Also, does anyone else notice that Cyrus's goals are almost exactly like Light Yagami's in Death Note between the whole "a new world, which I will lead" xD Just something I stumbled upon during this thread.
