The Virus [Pokemon RPG-LSUs accepted] (PG-13)

Okay, since my RPGs don't go so well, I've decided to have another go at one...

Plot:

January, 15th, 2006

We have been testing out a new type of fabric on pokemon, it was recentley discovered in an ancient temple in Hoenn. There is no history on the product, but we are certain we could make history using it. I volunteered my jacket for the experement, and they put the fabric onto my coat, the pokemon (a Ferailgatir) went absolutley crazy for a few seconds, but then calmed down, underneath our complete controll. I hope we can make it big in the news.

February, 20th, 2006

We have discovered a little bit more about the material, it seems to have some sort of D.N.A on it, we are not sure, but we've got a good chance of finding out the last piece of information we need to hit it big on the news.

March, 30th, 2006

We have tried to stop the madness going on with the researchers at the lab, it turns out that the fabric only works on pokemon, and when we put it on one of the volunteers. He instantly began to change into a Pikachu hybrid, we are keeping him in suspended animation so that this news doesn't get out. But, we're too late, the virus has gone on to humans, it will turn them into hybrids too, it has already gone to Europe and America, nobody is safe on this planet!

A few days later, the man who wrote in this diary was found dead, he had commited suicide after turning into a Primape hybrid, he wasn't named to the public. Other reasearchers have discovered that, once a hybrid, the human kept it's personality, but, could infect other people.

You, *points robotic index finger at you* are a teenager in a high-school in America, and as the man said in the diary, the virus has come to the country.

You have heard of a place in China, where hybrids have their freedom, (Thanks to some Chinese people that think killing is wrong) to live in peace. IF (By any chance) you get infected by the virus. You have to get to China, there will be no other option, and, you have to get there by sneaking onto a large crusier that is heading towards China. You must sleep, eat and drink in the shadows to GET OUT OF THE COUNTRY ALIVE!

All the Serebii rules will be heeded, and I will allow some swearing.

Gender: Female

Personality: Emily, is a very spiteful girl at times, on the outside, Emily's attitude is very cynical. But on the inside, Emily is a big old softie, she has a kind heart, but, it's hard for her to show it. She HATES little kids screaming their heads off, but loves video games. Emily will be found in her dormitory room, saying random things like: "No, Luigi, DON'T DIE... NO!!!!!!" and: "MUHAHAH! DIE MARIO!!!!!" while playing Super Mario Bros. 3.

Appearance: Emily, is an eight grade student. She is taller than the average student, and she wears baggy, navy jeans, and to match, the same coloured t-shirt with the words: "There's only one thing worse than singing, singing happily!" and a blue bandanna on her short, brown hair. Emily has dark brown eyes with brown-ish skin, like as if she has a tan. Emily also wears black sneakers.

Pokemon: Espeon

Pokemon Appearance: When Emily is infected by the virus. Her ears will become purple and will enlarge themselves to make her look like a cat. Her nose will become cat-like, and she will grow purple fur. Her hips will change to look like hind legs, that will rip her trousers to make them look like ripped shorts. Her feet will be too small to fit in trainers and she will walk barefoot. Emily will also have a long tail with another end coming out of the upper bit of the tail.

History: Emily was abused by her father at the age of 6. Her mother hated her, but didn't say anything about it until she went to high school. It broke Emily's heart so much that she didn't want to be friends with anybody... until she met Keno. Emily found a young Eevee in the gardens, she told the headmistess about it, and they agreed that Emily could keep it. Soon enough, Emily became attached to the Eevee, and named it Keno, soon enough, at 11:59, Keno evolved into an Umbreon, and Emily's been proud of him ever since.

Name: Ruby Zafire

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Personality: Very, very quiet. She doesn't like to talk, nor make friends, though she wishes she had some that were like her, quiet. She is also a cold person, snapping at people and glaring. Some people have said that they could feel an icy chill when she walked by, though it was probably in their minds.

She loves to read and study about things, a strange thing for somebody her age. She also likes to draw, having a canvas in her dorm.

But what she loves the most, aside from her Pokemon, is writing. She is obsessed with anything to do with it, whether it be writing a story, a poem (which is her personal favorite to do), or practing her handwriting or autograph, which is something she wishes that somebody would want.

Some people call her 'goth' because of her personality, but she is just the opposite, deep inside.

Appearance: She is quite tall, about 5' 08". She is also slender at 110 pounds, no more, no less. Her skin is pale, a ghostly pale, and she has very thin lips.

She has grayish blue eyes that peirce like death, especially when she is mad, which is a lot of the time, sadly.

Her hair is the strangest part about her, as it is silver. It goes about to her shoulders, if not a bit longer, and almost appears to shimmer in the light.

She wears a white blouse, which doesn't really seem right for her, and a sky blue skirt that goes a bit under her knees, perhaps a tad shorter or longer. Her shoes are just some old white tennis shoes that have black ties, which really doesn't match her outfit, though it does her her personality.

Pokemon: Gardevior

Pokemon Appearance: Ruby's hair will become slightly shorter, become a light green, and curl under her head a bit. It will also go straight over her forehead, hiding it, and her nose, and her mouth as well, stopping at, about at the chin. Her skin will turn completely albino and her eyes will become a dark, ruby red. Her ears will become sharp and jagged.

She will become quite much thinner. Her arms will not be white, but green, the same as the hair, and the fingers will disappear, like magic. She will have a long, white skirt on that is a bit tattered, and she will be able to float, but not fly. Her feet are not visible from the bottom of the skirt, leading her to believe that she loses her legs as she wouldn't use them since she could float.

Her movements will become more graceful than they would be with a human, and she can talk to people through her mind, due to the intelligence of Gardevior. But she can't do anything like move items or people.

If you do not know what I'm trying to say, this is what she will become: Beautiful, graceful, intelligent, Gardevior.

History: Ruby was a country girl, though not redneck or anything of the sort. Nothing bad really happened to her, nobody that she knew died, and her parents didn't abandon her. In fact, more good things than bad happened to her.

For instance, when she was about 12, she was given a Cyndaquil from somebody named, "Prof. Elm". She didn't know who this person was, or how he knew where she lived, but she was very gracious, and began training the Cyndaquil immediatly. It became stronger and stronger, gradually, and eventually evolved from Cyndaquil to Quilava, from Quilava to Typhlosion, when she nickanmed it Bakufun. She also caught several other Pokemon along the way, and trained them as well, though Bakufun remains her best, strongest, and favorite Pokemon.

Age: 14
Gender: Female
Personality: Keidis has pretty good leadership skills. She is usually a very calm person but if she gets POed she will go mentally angry. She is mainly a loner and likes to make lyrics for soings. Inside she is a very depressed person but can hide it well through her songs she sings. She never uses her head whilst battling and just goes along with whatever happens and won't be put off by a single loss. She beleive she can see human ghosts and that she can fully interact with ghost pokemon as if they were human.
Appearance: Kim wears a light blue T-shirt with a pink heart in two halves around the chest area. She wears light blue jeans which she's graffitied over in small areas. She wears her long hair in a pony tail down to just below her shoulders. She usually wears no shoes but is used to it by now. She also has a bandage wrapped around her arm all the time from the numerous times she's damaged it. Sometimes when she gets the chance she will have a bike around to get around somewhere faster. She will always however wear a black rope braclet which was a gift off her ex-boyfriend before some rogue pokemon trainers and their pokemon tried to abduct her when he got in the way and for it was killed. She wears it to remember him when she's battling to try and keep his fighting spirit alive.
Pokemon: Hikozaru
Pokemon Appearance: Her hair will become orange and she will become slightly slimmer. Her eyes will enlarge slightly and bear similar markings to that of a Hikozaru. A flame will sprout out of her behind but will burn a hole through her clothes where it comes out. The flame hurts her in no way and only hurts others if she doesn't know them. Her hair goes fully behind her head without wanting and she has a small fringe that just goes over her forehead. Her skin also goes slightly more tanned. She doesn't look strong but her strengh has increased and she also now has monkey like reflexes.
History: Kim grew up in a rich family untill she was five. Her mum and sister moved whilst she stayed with her brother and dad. Soon her dad got serious investments of money so they became rich. He brother left a few weeks after they became rich and her sister began calling her a spoilt brat after her mum became extremaly poor. After running away she got messed up with a gang that wanted to steal pokemon eggs. Without a choice she went into the breeding centre and took multiple eggs. One of the eggs however hatched before she could get it outside. It became her pokemon and was going to be beaten but the Tyrogue that hatched helped her out. Soon she went straight back home with her new pokemon. Soon after a gang of thugs tried to abduct Kim but her boyfriend interfiered and for it was killed by the gang leaders pokemon. She managed to escape as police had been called in.

Personality: Very, very mean. A genius indeed, but a bully, in truth though, he is giving and is willing to help those in need. He has a passion for Water Pokemon, and aspires to be a Water Gym Leader. An avid artist. Quite technical, good with technology and versatile in about every aspect.


Appearance: He is quite tall, about 6'2. he is also at 140 pounds, no more, no less. His skin is dark.

Dark Brown eyes that reveal no emotion.
His hair is dark brown as well, but recently he highlighted it blonde.
He wears a blue shirt and blue faded jeans with Green sneakers and a chain that his best friend gave him that represents the guardian of the water.

Pokemon: Milotic

Pokemon Appearance: Nick's hair will be much longer, with a small horn protruding from his head. He will be over three times taller, with a red and blue mermaid like tail protruding off the back of his pants, leaving a hole.
His skin will pale quite a bit. Will be able to calm the emotions of others and breathe underwater. Nick will be able to swim quite gracefully and walk on land as well with beauty and elegance. Elegant, Powerful, Embodiment of the Water, Milotic.

History: Nick was a city boy who practically lived at the beach, water was his lie. His father was the gym leader before Wallace, both graceful water battlers. His mother nurtured the crap out of him, he had quite a great lie, always surfing on his Milotic, which was a Feebas that he caught and pampered, then it evolved and Nick was brought with joy, and since then Milotic has been his favorite pokemon ever since..

Gender: Female

Personality: Kaili’s your average schoolgirl, trying to get the best grades and not really worrying about the boys around her. She keeps to herself and she’s quiet, not really talking too much at all when she’s at school. Kaili’s the first one to notice things that change; it seems to be one of her pet peeves, actually. She doesn’t like change, she likes things to seem and always be the same no matter what’s really going on. Still, Kaili’s a kind girl at heart and wants to help out everyone she can, at any time that she can. It’s just what she feels like she should do in life. If anyone threatens any of her friends, she will defend them no matter what the circumstances.

Appearance: Kaili wears a simple black shirt with a dark blue over jacket on top. Her black Tripp pants flow down her legs, also being a bit too large for her, but its comfortable. She also wears flat black and white running shoes. Kaili’s long brown hair flows down her back, to about the middle. She usually would wear it in a ponytail, because it just doesn’t look too good when it’s just lying down. Kaili has emerald green eyes that seem to pierce everything around her. Her skin is slightly tanned from living in the southeast of America, where it usually is mostly sunny every day. Kaili is also small boned and thin, so she’s not very tall or big in the least. She’s around 5’2’’ and about 95 pounds.

Pokemon: Absol

Pokemon Appearance: When the virus takes effect, Kaili shortens to a cat like form. Her hands and feet change into paws and her skin grows white fur along with black fur on her paws. Some of her hair is kept on her head, almost as a resemblance to her human self. Her emerald eyes stay the same, giving her an extreme difference from the normal Absol. Her cross-shaped necklace that she always wears stays around her neck, along with her watch, which is now on her left paw arm and her bracelet on her right paw arm.

History:

Kaili was born in a small suburb near Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up away from the city life, Kaili grew to know that she didn’t have many neighbors to be her friends or to talk to. She mostly stayed in her room, reading, writing or studying her work.

While growing up, Kaili always dreamed of Pokemon, the magnificent creatures of wander that continuously flowed in and out of Kaili’s imagination. The people at school thought that Kaili was crazy about thinking these things since Pokemon didn’t exist or were common around where they lived.

But Kaili continued to dream anyway about the creatures. Those dreams have continued to flow in her mind now that she’s a Junior in high school and she writes stories about the creatures and what they may look like to her.

She’ll always have her dreams.

Pokemon: Because of her history, Kaili has never met a pokemon. But these are the pokemon she will have as the RPG progresses.

Minun (Makito) Lv. 25

-Makito is a feisty little Minun, always ready to cause trouble at the slightest moment and he loves to pick on other pokemon and make trouble for them. But he’s not very strong when it comes to fighting, he likes to cause chaos then run from it.

Plusle (Kairi) Lv. 24

-Kairi is Makito’s sister and much more calm and conservative then Makito. She loves to just lay around and sleep all her troubles away. But she’s not a push over in the least and will fight if threatened.

Jolteon (Tai-ju) Lv. 32

-Tai-ju is a calm Jolteon, usually the leader of the group of Kaili’s pokemon. He keeps a level head, looking out for everyone around him. He’s quick to defend any pokemon or human that needs it.

Pachurrisu (Suikiku) Lv. 40

-Suikiku is the main pokemon and was the first that Kaili met on her journeys. Being a squirrel pokemon, Pachurrisu can run and is more content then most, since she’s use to life around humans. However, she’s not perfect and not very brave [sometimes even a little too cowardly] Tai-ju will usually take over the leader spot for her.

Gender: male

Personality: Alexander is quite calm, reserved and introverted. He is a loner, prefering the company of his pokemon to people. He has a kind heart, but isn't very friendly. He sometimes has mood swings, getting mad or depressed easilly. He is a dedicated pokemon trainer, sometimes getting obsessive with training, and with catching pokemon.
Appearance: He is tall, 6'5 in hight, slim and toned. He has long, straight black hair and wears glasses with black frames. Behind his vibrant blue eyes hides deep fear and loneliness. He wears dark blue jeans, a white shirt and a black jacket. He wears two black bands on both wrists, and wears a silver chain.

Pokemon: Lucario

Pokemon Appearance: His eyes turn red, becoming the same as a Lucario's eyes. His teeth become sharp and fanged, and his ears long and pointed vertically up through his hair, which becomes longer and thicker. It gets two blue streaks through it, and a black line stretches down his forehead to his nose and across his cheeks, like Lucario's face. On the backs of his hands he grows two metal spikes, one on each hand, and his bones become coated in metal. He becomes much more agile and physically strong, and gains some telepathic ability.

History: Born in England. Alex's parents died in a car crash when he was a child. He and his older brother went to live with their uncle and aunt in America. His brother was five years older than him. When Alex turned ten, he received a pokedex and a Cyndaquil as a gift from his aunt and uncle. He did well in school, but didn't make many friends. He was fascinated by pokemon and read books about them, histories of pokemon and trainers, and novels about them. Four years after obtaining Cyndaquil, Alex had matured, caught several pokemon and grown close to his main team.

Personality: Being an optimist, Aly is always cheerful and happy. If you with her, you can't help smiling, because she's always giggly and really likes to laugh. Sometimes she can act really childish and she can be really abcent-minded, but it's not a big problem. Alyssa is very sociable. Because of that, she has a lot of friends at school. Also, she's a reliable friend. You can have a perfect trust in her. She will mever let someone down.

Appearance: Alyssa have nearly shoulder-legth dark blond hair, aquiline nose and small mouth. She's rather tall, about 1,75 m tall, so she's often mistaken as 18-20 year old. This sometimes give her many problems. She has a unique eye-color: a mix between gray and green (the only one in her family). "A storming sea" - she sometimes call them. Aly wears dark-blue tank-top and the same colored flared jeans with black Japanese hieroglyphs. She also wears black boots on a high sole. She has some аccessories: A lite-blue pendant in the shape of snowflake and silver bracelet and earrings.

Pokemon: Articuno

Pokemon Appearance: When the virus will take effect, blue feathers will grew on Alyssa's skin. She will be all covered with feathers. Also she will grow large and beautiful blue wings, like Articuno's. This will rip two holes on the back of her top. A feather-like tail will grow too, causing her jeans ripping too. Low part of her legs will be covered with scales (the one that birds have) and she will have only four fingers on each legs (three ahead, one behind). Talons will grow on her hands too. Because of that she won't be able to wear her boots. Her mouth and nose will dissapear and will be replaced with a beak. Alyssa's eyes will turn crystal-blue. Her hair will stay, except that it would turn light blue. Also some feathers will grow on her head (like Articuno's). Her аccessories will stay. Alyssa will gain an excellent vision and sence. Also her voice will improve and she will sing beautifully. Alyssa will walk and dance with amazing grace and when she will flap her wings, it will cause a flock of snowflakes to appear.

History: Alyssa lived with her mother and father in a country on a big farm where they kept a lot of farmyard Pokemon. Her childhood was really nice. There was some bad things that happened but they were forgoten soon.
From her childhood, Alyssa was really facinated in Pokemon. She read books about them, watched TV shows and so on. She dreamt about being the greatest Pokemon trainer in the world, although her parents wanted her to become a Pokemon breeder. But they respected her choice. At the age of 12 Alyssa received her first Pokemon from professor Birch - a cute little Torchic. the was the happiest day of her life. Soon after that she became training really hard and after 3 years she had a perfect team, with whom she shared all joys and sorrows.

Gender: Male
Personality: Dante is relaxed and calm. He is confident in his ability to kick *** and take names. He can influence others, which makes him an ideal leader. He cares very much for the ladies, and even in this chaos, cannot resist helping damsels in distress.
Appearance: Dante is tall, with short brown hair. His eyes are a deep blue, and his skin is fair. Dante wears black jeans, a red short sleeved shirt, and a black leather vest, with black leather boots.
Pokemon: Rapidash
Pokemon Appearance: When Dante becomes Rapidash, he keeps his humanoid appearance. He still walks on two legs, although the feet become cloven horse hooves. A horn grows from his forehead, and his hair becomes a flaming mane. Finally, he becomes much faster in his state as a Rapidash hybrid.
History: When Dante heard about the virus, instead of becoming scared, decided to find some to test on himself. Upon becoming his favorite Pokemon, he decided to unite all others who became Fire type hybrids. He is the self appointed leader of the Pyre Guild. He isn't going to Asia to hide, but rather, to recruit for the Pyre Guild.
Pokemon: Instead of regular Pokemon, Dante travels with two members of the Guild. These members, a Blaziken hybrid and a Houndoom hybrid, received a particularly strong dose of virus, and were physically transformed into not hybrids, but full Pokemon. They did retain their intelligence, though.

Personality: Sasha is very quiet and calm. But when someones in trouble she's willing to help out and can be very kind. She also has quite a temper when she's angry she's dangerous. She is also very loyal.
To pass the time while not doing school work she was usually playing with her Eevee. It usually made her happy because no one bugged her.

Appearence: Sasha is about average height. She has rose red hair and also ruby red eyes her skin is fair. She usually wears a blue or black dress on warm days with sandals. On cold days she wears jeans and a white t-shirt with a black leather jacket and sneakers.

pokemon appearence: When Sasha becomes Flareon she looks normal except for the fact that she has red flareons ears and red flaming hair. She will also grow a flareons fluffy tail which end up ripping a hole in the back of her jeans.

History: Sasha was an foster child. Her parents died when she was a younger and there friends took her in. It was really hard on her at that age. She stopped hanging out with her friends then. She always felt angry when she saw people who still had there parents.
She also became very quiet but she'd still help people. She doesn't have that many friends even now. Her best friend is an Eevee. She always carries him with her. She got him as a birthday present from her parents a year before they died.
When she heard of the virus she wasn't scared. Living with the memory of her parents death made her sad but some how made her stronger. Her Eevee reminded her of her parents flareon. It was gone after her parents died probably stolen.

History: When her friends got the virus Ashley locked herself in her closet. when she walked out No one was in her empty Wisconsin town. By some chance the TV in her room worked. She found out on the news that china was a safe place for hybrids and thinks her friends and family might have went there, but Ashley having her scaredy personality was sick to her stomach.

Personality: Alyssa's personality is Passive. She was always let down and bullied as a child, going through gradeschool, and this made her self image horrable. She often was reserved and let people command her own thoughts. She never spoke alloud in class fearing she was wrong. Alyssa was never an athlete and struggled in Gym, often the Gym teacher would say "Harmless" Taunts, damaging Alyssa's self image even more. She has felt love for a man once, but he was too out of her league. He was a Football star, while she was a nogroup. When she summoned enough courage to tell him, a cheerleader pushed her out of the way, and got her crush. Although Alyssa wasn't a Cheerleader, she was attractive, she just lacked the courage to express her true feelings and thoughts.


Appearance: Alyssa's is a JR. in Highschool, she is average height, but slouches making her seem smaller. She has Dark Brunette hair, that reaches Shoulderlenghth. He hair is often tied ina ponytail, but she lets if hang loose from time to time. She has hazel eyes, that gleamer with hope and sadness. Her skin is Caucasion. Pokemon Appearance: When Alyssa is infected by the virus, She will become ingulfed in an eerie blue light, incinerating most of her clothes. Her eyes will become more eliptical and glow a sky blue from time to time. Her ears would become fused with her head, her neck would grow. They will be small, but she can morph them to make them suitable for flight. A horn will appear on her forehead, and her skintone will have a violet lust to it. Her atom's apple will pretrude from the body and become a golden circular thing. flames. Her legs will disappear, and her body will grow slimb. She will grow a long tail, that would sprout another golden object on the tip. her appearance will become beautiful, making the males drop and awe at her (attract). She will loose her speach and only talk in mysterious moans and echoes. Her ears would then sprout wing like things, that can grow for flying purposes.

History: Alyssa does not know her true parents, she was adopted. She grew up in an upper middleclass household that could afford private boarding school. Her adopted father did not have strong feelings for her, due to the fact that she was a "replacement," for the deceased daughter. The mother wanted a child and could not conceave so the mom adopted Alyssa. Before Bording school, she lived happily with her loving mother, and bestfriend/neighbor Emilee. Emilee brought Alyssa's social side out, and they had a great time together. They laughted for hours; and spent much time together; untill Emilee's father had to leave to do a research program. Alyssa has not heard of her since, she was 10 then, soon after her best friend leaving her, her mother died, a mysterious death, leaving her father and his mistress to take care of her. Her father sent her away to a far bording school, a pricy one. She was sent there with only a briefcase. Alyssa spent the next 7 years there. One day she saw a kid, of a lowerclass fishing by a riverbed. She was returning to her dorm from a stressful gymclass, and decided to take a look at who the boy was. The boy was the groundkeeper's son, who was off of school, so he had nothing better to do. Before long, the two sat and chatted till the night. The boy, who she never got his name, had no luck untill sunset when a Freebas was on the lure. The boy with much effort caught it with a Net ball, and with a smile, he gave the Freebas to Alyssa. Allysa was overjoyed with this act of kindness and treated her freebas with much respect. feeding it blue pokeblocks from time to time. She then, on a trek in the woods found a Pokemon egg being attacked by Murkrow, she managed to drive them off with a stick she picked up, and saw that the parents of the egg have been driven off for good. She took the egg under her care and kept it with love. It soon hatched to become a Chikorita. She also obtained a Sulrock, she was training Bliss one day, and she had a premiere ball which she got when shopping.

Personality: Hank is warm-hearted and friendly. He believes that success can be best achieved by teamwork in which the strengths of everyone are utilized to maximun efficiency, and tries to bring out the best in everyone. A strong believer in hard work and frugallness, he views people who have lazy and greedy tedencies somewhat lowly. Hank has a quick and witty sense of humor that finds irony and riddles very amusing. He also hates to see people unfairly hurt or punished so much that he'll do everything he can to stop it, which sometimes gets in the way. He also has a strong sense of social justice.
Appearance: Hank is of average height but has a semi-wide build and is very cut, but not huge. His dark brown hair is long and messy, often going into his eyes. His eyes are lighter shade of brown and his skin is tanned from a lot of working and traveling in the open sun. He wears a white tee with faded jeans along with black sneakers.
Pokemon: Tauros
Pokemon Appearance: Hank's body will become covered in a short, fine light brown fur while his dark brown hair that is on his head will also grow around his neck, but thicker and not as long. Three small, metal bumps will be in a vertical line running down the center of his forehead and two petite, smooth steel knobs will be under his hair above his ears. His legs will be exact copies of the hind legs of a Tauros along with hooves instead of feet, but his arms will just become more muscular and his hands will have a hard, black substance covering them instead of skin. His back will become slightly hunched so he can both run on two legs and charge things on all four with the same amount of ease. Three short tails with hairy tips will protrude from his lower back. His shirt and jeans will hang on his body in tatters but his shoes will come off completely.
History: Hank was brought up a Pokemon ranch with three older brithers and his mom and dad. When he was younger he used to wake up early, bring food to the Pokemon that were penned up close to the house and eat breakfast with them, go to school, come home and play with different Pokemon that were on the ranch everyday. He became very close to certain Pokemon and they would often try to tag along with him when he went to school. In his sophmore year his dad died so he had to stop going to school and work more on the ranch along with one of his brothers who was in his senior year. They handled the farm well with their mom but one day Hank's brother went looking for a missing Ursaring and ended up getting mauled by it, rendering him unable to do the demanding labor that was required for ranch work. Hank's oldest brother then returned to the ranch along with his wife and young daughter to work at the ranch fulltime, leaving Hank free to go on a journey with his Pokemon in order to get a job somewhere out in the world.
