Vulpix's Steam Cafe
Pokemon Only​

A new cafe opened up in Goldenrod city. It's small and cozy, and according to the red neon sign, only open for Pokemon. They accept all types and serve many different drinks at the non-alchoholic bar. It's in a dodgy part of town though, not many go there because of bad location: Like many places in Goldenrod, it's out of view, so it takes some looking-for to find it (or, of course, if you get lost in the big city, it is almost always at that one corner) Hm. You're a little hungry and it looks cheap, might as well go in...

The Plot:
You're a Pokemon away from your trainer, a bit of a vacation. It's about twilight right now, but it gets darker as time passes on. You may RP more than one character, but not too many that you can't handle them/people get confused. After wandering about the city a while, you stumble upon a small cafe. The door is perfect for all species: it's a push-door, complete with a Growlithe-sized flap door at the bottom. Walking in, you descover it to be just like the ones your trainer sometimes visits: dimly lit, with shaggy carpeting and cushy chairs. At the front is a bar, complete with stools. Still... there's a forboding sense lying over the entire building, like a bad Smog attack... and is that a trap door?

Posting Examples:
Chya sat on the side walk, the flickering street lamp casting light on her purple colored coat. Flicking her small round ears, she turned her head left and right, looking for something to do. A small cafe was lighting the sidewalk in a red neon glow, the words 'Vulpix's Steam Cafe' glaring forward. Hm. Chya stood up, long tail held vertically, and trotted over. "Raaatt..." she drawled, looking at the flapdoor-- perfect for her small size... "Might as well," she muttered, then pushed her way inside.
Pretty much understand? NOT anthro, but they can talk 'english' to other Pokemon. Pick whatever, as long as they'll fit inside. No legendaries, like Lugia.

Name: Sonata
Gender: Female
Species: Umbreon
Appearance: Black fur (Have you ever pet a German Shephard Dog? Kinda like that.) and glowing BLUE rings. There are rings around her ankles, and waht look like rounded-triangles behind her eyes. There are three rings on her tail (Obsessed with Sly Cooper, ee hee) and the inside of her ears glow. She has denim-blue eyes, slit pupils.
Personality: She seems kinda depressed most of the time, but like any Dark type she gets bouts of deviousness and becomes impish, usually when attacking and about to win/lose.
Some Attacks: Moonlight, Bite, Feint Attack, Helping Hand, Shadow ball, Nightmare
Other: Serenade is her sister, and the only Psychic type that can kinda project into her mind. She plays the song Moonlight Sonata into the Umbreon's mind, calming her down and some times during battles, it hightens her senses. It's the only thing that Serenade can project to her, and even the song itself is borken and fuzzy.

Gender: Female
Species: Espeon
Appearance: Long and lanky, with a very long forked tail, which has longer, whiter fur at each tip. The fur is lilac with flecks of pink, and dotted about her longer white hairs, like whiskers along her body. This helps it detecting its enemy's next move by sensing air currents. The gem on her forhead is more diamond-hexagonal shaped. Her eyes are sky blue and her pupils are round and white.
Personality: Very, very calm. She balances out her impulsive sister, Sonata.
Some Attacks: Morning Sun, Protect, Hypnosis, Psybeam, Helping Hand, Attract
Other: Same as Sonata's Other.

Name: Alexander
Specie: Manectric
Gender: Male
Appearance: Alexander has the normal build-up for a Manectric, with lightning-yellow fur and blue skin and sleepy blue eyes. A scar runs down his left front-leg as a result of a touchy Scyther-swarm. His feet end in a paw designed for running, with 4 claws on each paw.
Personality: Alexander is a lazy and dreamy Pokemon, which never seems to pay attention. He actually got a quite good memory, though. He can sit still for ages without boring himself. He is quite fast to move though, and doesn't like to be in one area too long. Goldenrod is just a temporary stop before he'll head for Ecruteak.
Some Attacks: Thunder, Thunderbolt, Extremespeed, Agility, Crunch.
Other: nada


Name: Tobias
Specie: Typloshion
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tobias is a great Typloshion, meaning he is a tall, bipede flame-Pokemon with black back-skin and a lighter skin on the front. Several volcanic holes adorn the back, where fire can erupt depending on Tobias' mood. His feet and short arms end in short, almost dull claws and the face is serious and harsh.
Personality: Tobias has a really changing mood. He can go from dreamy like his training-mate to suspicious in a moment, almost without any provocation. This makes him a bit hard to understand, but Alexander is used to it. Tobias doesn't normally like fighting, though.
Some Attacks: Flamethrower, Thunderpunch, Ember, Smokescreen and Fire Spin.
Other: nope.

Name: Zaber

Gender: Male

Appearance: Zaber's mainly your daily average Absol. Standing at a height of 3'15, a bit taller than the average Absol, and weighing about 100 lbs. His snowy white fur makes him stick out like a sore thumb, with black claws, scythed tail, face and blade. His deep crimson eyes features a scar slashing down on his right eye.

Personality: Not expected for words, Zaber's a loner, and lives alone in the mountain ranges, living off what he can. Clam and slient, this Absol never loses his cool in any situation, and clamly proceeds forward. At night, he likes to gaze at the moon against the jet black sky. No one really understands him, not even Lucied and Javas, his closest friends.

Some Attacks: Faint Attack, Quick Attack, Slash, Blizzard, Swords Dance, Double Team, Future Sight etc. etc.

Name: Lucied

Gender: Male

Appearance: Due to his inconsitent diet after being exiled from his pack and into the harsh wild alone, he's slighty slimmer than the average Mightyena with a weight of 78 lbs. Midnight black fur covers his paws and back, with a little over his forehead with deep red eyes signifing the heart of gold within him.

Personality: A heart of gold, Lucied acts as a father and a role model to Javas, having lost his a few years back. Although outgoing and cheerful on the outside, the heart inside is still full of scars that perhaps are unable to heal for all eterinty. He travels with the other two outcasts in hops of new beginnings.

Some Attacks: Thief, Roar, Howl, Scary Face, Take Down, Crunch, Counter, Bite etc. etc.

Name: Javas

Gender: Male

Appearance: Standing at the average height of 2'11", this Sneasel has jet black fur covering him, including his ears, expect the tip, which is light pink. With white claws on his hands and feet, and a pink tail blossoming like a flower, and deep pink eyes show the kindness in him. He however, lacks the yellow emblem on his forehead and is chest, and a meowth charm is instead worn on his neck like a chain.

Personality: This Sneasel is rather open and lives a carefree life. He never loses his cool in any situation, and clamly proceeds forward. He also likes to joke, and is the pratical joker of any group. He mainly likes lying down on the grass in the day to see the clouds on the bright blue sky, or sitting on the beach during the cooling night to watch the shining stars and sometimes, the bright full moon in the jet black sky. However, in battle, Javas can instantly become serious, as if he becomes a totally different person...

Some Attacks: Quick Attack, Sneak Attack, Slash, Icy Wind, Foresight, Crumch Claw, Agility etc. etc.

Awesome. Thanks for signing up, you're both accepted... I'm new at posting RPGs here at Serebii, so I'm hoping I do this right. We'll wait a bit longer... this plot I've come up with has many twists and turns... I'll be entering myself in later. I have... two pokemon, so that makes seven so far... a few more people and it's a party x3

Gender: Male

Appearence:
Hes your generic Flareon With red fur and a tan mane. Except for the fact that his red fur is slightly spikey and he has an X shped scar on his forhead. His eyes have a strange piercing quality to them that can easily freak anyone out who looked into them long enough.

Personality: Razer has learned not to trust anyone but those he cares for. He is very protective of those he cares about and helps anyone he sees in need. Normally he puts on a "i dont care about anything" act. He learned of this way of helping people from his mother who was an espeon. But developed the dark part of his personality when his mother was killed by team rocket.

Some attacks: Sunny Day, quick attack, Flamethrower, Shadow ball, Overheat, Fire blast

Appearance: Like a normal purple Gligar, with the claws, webbed wings, fangs, and a stinger
Personality: Sarcastic, frequently happy, but a bit of a prankster

Name: Nikki
Gender: Female
Appearance: Nikki is a runt-of-the-litter Ninetales, a lot smaller than the norm at about 55-ish pounds, about 2'5" tall. She has Vulpix-colored markings that spiral up her forelegs, making her stand out. Her tails are slimmer than average.
Personality: Nikki has a tendancy to be snappy to others, but deep down she is very kind and good-natured, easy to talk to. She is rather shy, normally hiding in that diark corner where no one thinks about her. She knows what it's like to be picked on and pushed around; she often helps those who are in this situation. For reasons unknown, she hates poison types with a passion.

simple yet interesting. Hate to admit when I first saw this rp I thought it was going to be a one line plot ^.^'; Though I did notice you did not have species in your sign ups. Might want to add that is that seems pretty importent.

Name: Nimie

Gender: female

Species: Kirlia

Appearance: Nimie does not stand at the normal height of her species but is quite smaller, probably around two feet. She looks frail and fragile but has a graceful and gentle look, always looking innocent and child like. She is the basic coloring of her species.

Personality: A very innocently and naive being, she has the mind of a four year old, maybe even younger. She has a terrible time remembering names and even worse time handling situations of danger. She has never been used in a battle for one reason, she seems to be mentally retarted.

Some Attacks: Grow, teleport, Future sight (Though its more of I can see the furture not an attack. Nimie isn't really a fighter)

Other: She is looked after by her skilled older brother, Arick. Her trainer (and Arick's) treats her like a child, has never actraully caught Nimie in a pokeball because she just started following him when he caught her brother. When Arick would not battle or listen to his trainer unless Nimie was near by the traner relented and soon grew attached to Nimie as if she was a young child.

Gender: male

species: Gardevoir (Male gardevoir? say it ain't so!!! either that or a female
machoke )

Appearance: Unlike his sister, he is taller then his normal species, standing around six feet instead of the normal 5'3. He has a flowing gown and bright red eyes, he seems fit and healthy with a look of beauty as it says they grow very beautiful with a good trainer. One thing different is that his green color is more of a greenish blue, almost like a shinies but then again he isn't, no one really knows why he is a darker color.

Personality: Isn't much of a talker, he remains calm in most situations and while he doesnt' show it loves a good battle. He is a male gardevoir and is a warrior at heart as his instincts tell him to defend females. He is overly protective of his little sister and doesn't like it when she is picked on for not being a battler.

Some Attacks: Calm mind, psychic, hypnosis, dream eater and if I may Teleport as a fith move not used often.

Other: When Arick was captured he would not battle unless his trainer allowed Nimie to come with them. He is overly protected of his nearly defensless and almost psychicless sister.

Gender: Female
Appearance: Being a middle aged Persian, Dart is smaller than an average Persian,her fur is slightly darker and she has icy-blue eyes.
Personality: Freindly,naughty,relaxed and calm.
Some Attacks: Tackle,Scratch

Okay, everyone that said they'd have another character... can we tone it down? I mean, we have... 11 characters already, and only 6 people.. before you add more characters, if you don't mind, waiting for some more people to join? If not many more come you can have more... let's limit it to three...

 

[Yami Ryu]

Name: Darius
Gender: Male
Species: Espeon

Appearance: Darius stands a bit taller than an average Espeon, maybe by about three inches or so, and is a more blue-violet in color, and same with his eyes. He also sports a pierced ear, the left, which sports a simple gold hoop as the piercing. Outside of these few things, Darius seems to be the same as any Espeon.

Personality: Darius is a bit of a haugty fellow, thinking he's better than most other pokemon, and really only respects other psychic types. And thinks all types but dark are beneath him, and sees dark types as a rival and challenge he must overcome. He is good deep down .. but only if you can stand putting up with someone that would ignore you nine times out of ten. He's also a bit vain and can be bribed into talking with you if you praise his appearence, or offer something shiny.

Some Attacks: Calm Mind, Quick Attack, Shadow Ball, Confusion (ocassionally he'll use thief too)
Other: Nothing much

Name: Shade
Gender: Female
Species: Tyranitar

Appearance: Shade is the same as any other Tyranitar in hieght, with a dark blue diamond mark in her olive green armor like hide, her eyes are the same shade as blue as her belly. Her tail is longer than average though, maybe a foot or so more in length, with four prong like growths around it two feet from the tip, while a row of spines jut from her back and a crest of three spikes on the top of her head. She also wears a black and gold collar that her trainer got for her, sorta like the earing in Darius's left ear, it's to signify she's owned and help identify them if they get lost/picked up/whatever.

Personality: Friendly and motherly to an extent, Shade tends to see anything smaller than her, as something to take care of, and at the moment she's trying to get Darius to be a little less self centered or atleast respect other pokemon more. Though it's not working. Outside of that, Shade is open and loves being around others, which can seem strange considering most Tyranitar hate contact with other species, or humans.

Some Attacks: Crunch, Ice Beam, Iron Tail, Thunder Punch
Other: Shade has a weakness for sweets.

Name: Ryou
Gender: Male
Species: Pikachu

Appearance: From the looks of it, Ryou looks as the same height as any average Pikachu, but if you measure him closely, he's about 6-7 cm. taller. He looks like any other Pikachu, with a yellow body, black ears, eyes, red cheeks,and the red stripes on the back. But the only difference is from a normal Pikachu is that instead of the crimson-ish color a Pikachu has on its tail, Ryou has black.

Personality: Ryou is a quiet Pikachu, unlike other Pikachus which are hyper and energetic. He doesn't get along too well with other people, so he is basically a loner. Most of the time he never speaks, so talking and talking to make him talk won't help. He usually has a frown on his face, but when laughing, he only smiles. When getting mad, he just has sparks on his cheeks, and only does a Thunderbolt when necessary. He is known to be silent like a thief and fast-moving. So sometimes when running, you won't even see him.

Some Attacks: Thunderbolt, Thunder, Agility, Quick Attack.

Other: Has been known to slurp on Strawberry Soda.

I'm not doing a second character. But I may change my mind.

Name: Scyclaw

Gender: female

Species: Scyther

Appearance: Unlike other Scyther, Scyclaw’s face is perfectly smooth and a bit more pointed. Also, the claws on her feet are longer, sharper and a bit more curved than normal.

Personality: The first thing you should know about Scyclaw is that you never want to get on her bad side. She is fierce and sly, and she should never be underestimated. Scyclaw is quick and crafty and knows how to twist a situation to her advantage. Like all Scyther, she is proud, a bit arrogant and her honor is something she values deeply. Scyclaw is not very good at making friends and is uncomfortable with others being very close to her (both physically and emotionally), however those she does call friend are very precious to her, and she will always stand by them, even if her own life it at stake.
In battle, Scyclaw prefers to remain on the defensive, wearing her opponent out. The main problem is that in her cockiness she sometimes underestimates others, being a rather poor judge of not only battling abilities, but character as well.

Some Attacks: Slash, Wing Attack, Fury Cutter, Swords Dance, Agility, Focus Energy

Other: Scyclaw knows who is and who is not worth her time. If you’re not worth her time, don’t bother talking to her-not only will she not talk back and walk away, but she might do something drastic if she’s mad enough, like put her scythe to your throat and threaten you in a hiss. She has not had a happy past, so she can be unpredictable.

Gender: female

Species: Pikachu

Appearance: Unlike other Pikachu, Lita is a Shiny, making her easy to see onstage due to her orangey aura her fur radiates in dim light. This helps her to see backstage.

Personality: Lita is very friendly, laid back, and charismatic--a must when onstage! She's been performing ever since she was young, first as part of her family's act, where she would sing songs and play harmonica and tin whistle; and now as the leader of her own troop, the Poketones. She treats the Poketones like friends, and will defend them if danger arises.

Attacks: Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Seismic Toss, Quick Attack, to name a few

Species: Electabuzz
Gender: Male

Appearence:
He stands at the normal hight of an electabuzz with all the proprtions. His fur is spikier than a normal electabuzz's and is imbetween a normal electabuzz's and a shiny electabuzz's in color. His eyes are a deep orange color and his face expression usually suggests no emotion.

Personality:
normally when theres no danger he acts all cool. Like everythings fine and just trying to have a little fun. He is a smooth talker and can make others laugh. But if you make him mad he'll get very destructive and agressive.
His weakness is thinking on his feet quickly. He usually thinks things through outside of battle, So he came up with many different stradegies and combonations to use.

Name: Palo Nei
Gender: Male
Appearance: As usual with Psyducks, he's yellow, with an orange beak and feet, some black 'hair', and with a sort of tail on his back. However, he wears a blue scarf around his neck, as some sort of charm or a necklace or just something to keep some heat.
Personality: Very laidback, Palo doesn't care much about what's happening if it didn't affect him so far. In fact, he might forget someone is talking to him if it wasn't related to him or anything.
Some Attacks: Scratch, Disable, Confusion, Brick Break
Other: He's accident-prone... or at least he's the guy who makes everyone trip on important situations. He also sometimes forgets directions.
