Serenade strode forward, sister at her side. She felt troubled. Her instincts were telling her to run, that her attacks and Morning Sun powers weren't strong at night, and that she was in danger... she did her best to ignore the sinking feeling in her chest. Besides, she thought, Her sister was here. And Sonata's powers would be hightened in the twilight... a good thought to cling to. Speaking of the dark, Sonata looked rather confident in the given situation.
They were lost. Terribly lost. Take one wrong turn at Goldenrod, and... Zefferra will be disappointed... we'll never get back in time... Serenade thought, eyes glazing over. Sonata had wanted to go for a walk... the Espeon had thought otherwise... but...
"Come on, we'll only be gone for a while," Sonata said, front paws on the windowsill. They were four stories in the air, the group had decided to rest in the hotel. "I don't think we should... there's something in the air... forboding..." Serenade drawled, voice airy. Normally Sonata might have been daunted, but the moon was out and full that night. "Please? I'll be with you, no worrying!" the Umbreon pleaded. Serenade let out a sigh, knowing they were setting themselves up for dramatic irony. "I guess we could."
"Sonata? Any idea where we are?" Serenade got no answer. "Sister?"
The dark-type stood still, ears erect. "I hear something," was all she said. "See? Over there."
Being a sun-Pokémon, the Espeon had bad nocturnal sight... but through the darkness she could see a red neon sign. "... Vulpix's... Sea?" she questioned, squinting her eyes.
"No, it says 'The Vulpix's Steam Café, Pokémon Only'," Sonata replied. "Come on, let's go!" She started trotting off in the direction of the homely building. Serenade hesitated, feeling the irony build up... but started off to catch up with her sister.

Gligi's flight path, such as it was, had led him nowhere. He was so sick of looking for prey of some kind.
"Every day is the same thing! Wake up, go out to hunt, and find nothing! If a single trainer tries to capture me I'll..."
His eyes turned to the sign he had flown past. He hovered back to it and stared, trying to read English.
"Hmm... G-o-l-d-e-n-r-o-d C-i-t-y. Goldenrod City? Sounds right. Ok, next line... City of... aww that's tough! Maybe I can find another Pokémon who can actually read it. But what am I doing out here in Goldenrod?"
Spying a Rattata surrying along the ground, he asked, "Would you happen to be able to read this here sign?"
The Rattata jumped in the air, surprised at the voice coming from somewhere above him. Looking up, he saw Gligi the Gligar, and then looked at the sign.
"Sorry, no," he replied. "I can't read."
"That's quite all right," Gligi said, cordially. Even as he finished, however, he swooped down, snatched the Rattata in his scorpion-like claws, and snapped its back in two.
"Food..."

For most of the people that lived in Goldenrod City, it was a very nice and pleasent day. The trains were working properly, the radio tower was brodcasting, and the people in the giant Pokemart were having lots of buisness as well. The bustling city seemed to be like heaven...

...Except for three unlucky traveling Pokemon.

One of them was a Swellow, nicknamed Soruta. As she hopped through the crowd near the train station, she could only wonder how ANY Pokemon could come to live in a place like this.

The second was an Abra nicknamed Shanti. He didn't need to go through the giant crowd, for he could just teleport to any place around him, as long as it was a short distance away... Oh, let's say about on a roof about 10 feet away. If you looked at his eyes, you could wonder whether he was asleep or not. In reality, he was trying to read everyone's minds, but the amount of minds here were too overwhelming, and so he fell off of the roof in total confusion...

...Into the hands of Saito, a Breloom that had been accompanying the two other Pokemon for quite some time. For some reason, he always seemed to be nearby when Shanti was in trouble, but at least he knows that Shanti can defend himself in his own battles. As Saito and the others moved around the city, Saito was trotting around and hopping in a really happy mood. Don't let this fool you though - he's been known to go through major mood swings in seconds.

By the time all three Pokemon got around to talking about the huge city, Shanti had already grabbed a map of the city.

Soruta chirped, "I'm surprised that nobody here actually thinks that we're wild Pokemon!"
Saito muttered, "You know, I think that because of all of the trainers around here, they probably would think that any Pokemon would have a trainer."

Both Pokemon looked around when they noticed that Shanti wasn't saying anything, and then they spotted him... Reading a sign in front of a building.

"Let's see... The Vulpix's Steam Cafe...?"
"Pokemon Only."
"AHHH!!!"

Shanti turned around, and saw Soruta blankly staring at the sign as well. Nearby, Saito was looking in through the window.

Saito remarked, "Looks like a pretty intresting place! However, it seems... A bit empty."

Reluctantly, all three Pokemon entered, not knowing what was waiting for them.

Gligi flew to the café, Rattata still in his drooling mouth. However, he did not know that he was heading for the café; he was just flying. But it was as if an invisible force was unconciously drawing him there.
"Another sign? Jeez... let's see: The V-u-l-p-i-x-'s S-t-e-a-m C-a-f-é, Pokémon O-n-l-y. The Vulpix's Steam Café, Pokémon Only. Ah! Maybe there are some friendly faces here! Oh! Here's some now!
"You there! Umbreon! Hello!"

Sonata turned around, mid-step. "Hello?", she said, not really knowing where the voice came from. Her sister motioned to the sky silently. The umbreon looked up, scanning the skies... and saw a small purple object. Gligar. "Yes? What do you want?" She asked. Her sister just stood there, finding no reason to join in the conversation. They were only a few yards from the building. A few sillohuetts vanished into the doorway, indistinguishable in the night.

The magic of Pokemon
Meanwhile, backstage...

"All set?" a Treecko asked a Pikachu as he adjusted his lucky twig before settling before a digital piano. Forest was the keyboardist for the house band, and he never played without his lucky twig, a mint leaf which the house singer, a Pikachu named Lita, hand found in the park one day.

"Sure am!" Lita replied as she adjusted the flower tucked behind an orangey ear. Unlike most Pikachus, Lita was born Shiny, which according to Pikachus, meant that the newborn would be destined to be great, be it gifted in the arts, a sports superstar, or a mighty warrior.

"You're on, Miss Lita!" came a call from backstage. Forest jumped to attention as his bandmates took their positions.

After snapping a few times to count everyone off, the band erupted into a bubbly rock melody, over which Lita sang:

If you wish, upon a star, your dreams will come true...
Why should you wait for them, when they'll always come back to you?
Dream big, trust in yourself, and you will go far...
And when the big day comes, the joy will consume you!

A journey has begun, to search and find the meaning of true love
All the stars, in the sky, guide me on my way!

This is my wish for you,
I can't just live for now...I'm living for my dream!
Show me now, that your love won't fade away! So don't rush it!
And so, until my dream day comes, I'll think of you
What lies ahead, and after a dream?

See the waves, and how they weave forever in time...
Have you lost your touch, are you hiding in fantasy?
Take your time, and think about whatever's in store...
And when I need your strength, carry me in your arms!

When you are here with me, I feel like I am stronger every day!
And our love, will increase, to maybe hundredfold!

This is my wish for you,
Consume me in your love! Please spread it round the world!
Show me that your strength is in your heart! And you're gentle,
So, your love is really true; come let me see!
I'll tell you just the way I feel! The flower of the sea blooms on!

At this, the guitar player, a Machop, launched into a quick solo, prompting some cheers from the audience. When he concluded, Lita sang again:

Take good care of this...
After the dream is gone, I'll always look at you,
And remember the love that we shared, till forever!
Then, I whisper my promise, my word of hope!
The light will forever shine on!

This is my wish for you,
I can't just live for now...I'm living for my dream!
Show me now, that your love won't fade away! So don't rush it!
And so, until my dream day comes, I'll think of you
What lies ahead, and after a dream?
What lies ahead, and after a dream?

"Lita and the Poketones, everyone!" the emcee called, prompting some applause.

The sound of a band reached his ear and he spun around.
"I love music!" Gligi exclaimed as he pushed through the doors.

Palo was walking around the city, quite confused. He had been trailing behind his trainer, a while ago, when a bunch of people appeared between them, and he got lost trying to find his trainer. So now he was wondering where he was, and where he could go.

After some time, while thinking about his situation, he was brought back into reality by a bonk at a wall. Raising his head, clutched between his paws, he looked at the wall in front of him. Okay, so it was a door. And there was a space in front of him which he thought could fit him, so he decided to try and go inside.

*Several minutes later*

Palo grunted, as he tried to push himself through the small space. While he had managed to go through by his lower half, apparently it wasn't wide enough to let his head and beak through.

He tried to push through one last time, before sighing. "Hey! Is someone in there?" he squawked, hoping he'd be heard.

"Thank you!" Lita replied as the audience applauded. "The Poketones and I will entertain you this evening...so sit back, relax, and enjoy yourselves!"

"Let's start the request box over here..." and with that, a Charmander handed off a brightly decorated box marked "REQUESTS" to the closest patron. She watched the box circle around, with papers being dropped in every so often.

"Thanks, Sammi." Lita smiled. "If there's a song you'd like to hear tonight, just drop it in the box as it comes by."

Razer had been walking for days without food. By now he was pathetically limping with an eye half closed. It hadnt all been this bad..... One time he had a loving mother and family....He was happy and carefree.... But ofcourse Team Rocket had to come and take every shred of his child hood......His self identity......away from him.......

It was quite a rainy day, Which was definately not good on Razer's account.
The rain would just turn to steam when it made contact with Razer's Body. But that Only hurt the Flareon even more through his mental an physical wounds. He continued on, not giving up. He knew he couldnt give up. His mother wouldnt have wanted that because she gave her life up for Razer's very own. He couldnt just go and throw his own life away after he was spared. Razer was still very deep in thought when a loud thunder cracked. "Boom!" Razer stumbled back from shock and shook his head. "I gotta concentrate on surviving and stop this thinking...." Razer said to himself as he continued walking. Eventually he got to a hill and just stared at it. In his current state he might as well be climbing Mt. pyre. He took a deep breath and staggered on not knowing of the city that lie just beyond the hill.

"Ehh... Was eben zugestoßen?" Sonata blinked as the Gligar whizzed off, randomly. "Music?"
Serenade just blinked. "A.D.D., you think?"
"No idea. I'll assume so. He went into the café, though. Since we've no idea of how to get back to the hotel, and I'm thirsty, can we go in?"
Serenade thought about this, sitting silently as she considered the Ironic situations they were putting themselves into. Sonata just looked at her a moment, muttered something about 'Psi types', and casually padded into the café. Serenade quickly went in after her, muttering something about 'Dark types'.
They were greeted by the smell of insence, the lights dim, and the carpet soft. "...This place is like those coffee places Zefferra goes to..." Sonata murmured, more to herself than anything else. Serenade looked around, then, hesitatingly, sped up to walk by Sonata's side. "I'm not sure I like this..."
"It's fine. Really. Das Versprechen," Sonata said, calming her sister down.
"And how can we know?"
"We don't. Isn't that what you always say? Irony, Karma, the Unknown?"
"I suppose. We should be careful, though."
The music started up again, bringing their focus to the stage. A female pikachu sang a song... a golden Pikachu.
"That's unusual, for Pikachus," Serenade said, glancing at her blue sister.
"Guess so. Come, let's get a drink," She responded, trotting over to the bar.
"Well... do they have java?" Serenade said, enticed.
"I'll check."

Was eben zugestoßen= What was that?
Das Versprechen= Basically, 'I promise'

Saffire Persian

Now you see me...
Lyra was wandering around the outskirts of Goldenrod city as she habitually did, welcoming in the coming night with soft, barely audible footfalls as she tred across the grass. Each movement was light as measured, her movements as sineous and subtle as the rest of her kind - Persian - portrayed. On her forhead, a sapphire stone glowed of her own accord, shedding a bit more light on the darkening landscape.

Drip. Drop. Drip. Pat-patpat

Lyra wrinkled her nose. "It's raining again."

Another drop of water hit her nose as the rain picked up, gradually becoming more pronounced, the pauses less infrequent with each growing second. Lyra turned abruptly, quickening her pace to a steady run. She wasn't a fan of rain. Granted, she wasn't afraid of it, but she has a distinct dislike for the pellets of rain that now pelted her silken coat.

She halted abruptly, skidding to a stop as a small shadow, slow and sluggish crossed into her realm of vision, trying laboriously to get up the hill that led to Goldenrod. She studied the figure for a few moments, her eyes finally recognizing the figure as a Flareon.

Odd... Lyra thought, doing a double-take at the red-furred Pokémon. What's a Flareon doing here? Without a trainer is sight, no less.

Lyra began to stride toward the Flareon, trying to not be seen as a threat...yet anyway. It didn't take her long to notice the Flareon could barely stand on its four paws - injured, obviously. Decided it wasn't worth it to be slow, Lyra curled around to the Flareon's right side, staring down at it with keen, curious eyes. "Pardon my intrusion, but you don't seem to be from around here."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO!
"Goldenrod City..." he read. Sounds a bit quaint, but let's see what's up, he thought. As Ryou the Pikachu dashed into the city it wasn't what he expected earlier, but, oh well, he was already in Goldenrod. With tall humans walking in Goldenrod, he couldn't see anything except buildings, buildings, and more buildings. Sigh, he thought, after no sucess of finding anything good. But then he spotted a sign that could be barely seen from him. "Pokemon...Only..." Ryou read, "Should be good enough." He dashed off, squeezing through people as quietly as he could. When he reached the cafe, the sign read more clearly, "The Vulpix's Steam Café, Pokémon Only". "Eh, better go inside," Ryou muttered. He went inside slowly and saw it was more quiet and relaxing, and even a singer. MUCH BETTER, he thought. He slumped in a chair, and listened, calming him down more...

"I'm gonna play a few dances for you now..." Lita began as she paused to grab a small flute-like instrument. "So don't be afraid to dance!" With that, she began a set of dances: "Persian's Hunt", a reel, "The Road to Celadon", a Jig, finisshing with a polka, "Ash's Dance"

Life sucks, man.
"Ugh! Not polka! I'm gonna puke..."
Gligi covered his ears and tried not to make a mess in the café, but didn't know what to do.
"Is there a Pokébathroom in here? I need to use the little Gligar's room!"

Masa Mune

Thunder Trainer
A Haunter floated silently through the night sky, grasping a pokemon victim in its hand... or at least that's what it would look like to anyone who didn't know the pair. Breaking the silence the carried pokemon growled out in the most menacing tone he could muster. Whenthat did nothing, he decided it was time to get verbal with the Haunter.
"Hey Giest... PUT ME DOWN!"

A grin crept onto the ghosts' face as his hand lowered quickly to the ground, holding the Wartortle's head to the pavement. What could be seen of his eye from the enveloping hand, began to twtich.
"I take it back Giest, don't let me go... because of you do, I'll kill ya."
A loud guffaw escaped through Giest's gaping mouth in response to the words. "I hardly see that happening Adamantoise, after all, I'm technicaly already dead; and besdies, you never mentioned letting go, you just said to put you down."

The Wartortle didn't respond and instead continued to glare at his, all too often, partner. Sighing in defeat the Haunter lifted him back up and continued carrying him through the city. Things were quite again for a few minutes until this time the Haunter broke the silence.
"You know Adamantoise, you really need to remove that proverbial sheath-"
Giest was unableto finish his sentence as Adamantoise quickly spoke over him, "I wouldn't finish that sentence Giest... Not if you know what's good for you."

The Haunter knew better than to take this as an idle threat and quickly moved on to the main point he was trying to make. "I realize you insist we stay with Masa, but he's just discussing the contract right now... You think he'd be there if he could choose otherwise? No. So why should we? We can at least relax a little while we wait for everything to be finalized."

Adamantoise just grumbled to himself. He knew he couldn't really deny Giest's logic on the matter. He didn't enjoy sitting through those meetings either, he just felt it was his duty to... "But wait! Of course!"

"That's all well and good Giest," quipped the Wartortle, "but where do you propose we go without Masa acting as a trainer?"
Giest let loose a soft laugh as if to say, "you poor ignorant soul". He stopped his flying through the city and positioned Adamantoise so the two could see each other face to face.

"Now Adamantoise, did you really think I'd try and go somewhere I didn't think we'd have a shot at getting into? The shadows have been telling me of some pokemon exclsuive cafe in the area. I thought it might be worth checking out... rumor has it they have a rather fetching singer over there, and if nothing else, we could always raise a little hell."

Adamantoise face twisted in dugust and worry. He'd never been able to tell tell Giests' intentions before, and this time was no different. Was he going there to relax or to fight? Was there even a difference between the two in his perverse mind? However, before he could speak up on anything, he was back to drifintg along through the cool city night.

Finally resigning himself to things he began to enjoy the trip... at least until the Haunter exclaimed that he found the place and went through the wall, bashing the turtles' skull into the same object. Adamantoise sat there, annoyed, but sure Giest would come out and set things right. Five minutes passed and nothing except the continued grinding of his head into the contrete and brick (though at this point he was relieved it just wasn't his face). Finally after ten minutes the unfortunate pokemon could stand no more and let forth the loudest yell he could muster. "GIEST, I CAN'T GO THROUGH WALLS!" Not long after those words, the ghost poked his head back out, "Oh yeah, forgot you were still there..."

Dropping Adamantoise he then pointed to the door where an Espeon had just entered.
"That's the door, hurry up, I already procured a table for us and placed our drink orders. You have the tea, I have the Bloody Mary."
Adamantoise grinned as he realized he had the chance to ruin Giest's evening; all that time outside paid off for something after all. "No you don't..." Giest's expression became puzzled as he gave Adamantoise a side-ways glance.
"What do you mean I don't? I should know very well what I ordered."
Adamantoise pointed at a sign by the entrance claiming no alchohol was served on the premises. Shocked, Giest turned his head back inside to see a Shirley Temple at the table. With a whimper, he went back to his seat (or rather, hovered above it), clasping the beverage in two hands, and began taking long sips from the glass with a pained look on his face, in hopes of hiding this shame... or perhaps to call attention to it, it was anyones call.

"Welcome to Goldenrod Station. All travelers from Saffron please disembark now, as the train will return there in ten minutes." a voice spoke over the loud-speaker in the train station. "I suggest we leave now," a Manectric said and started dragging himself out from underneath the train, followed by his limping companion. "Unless you want to be dragged back to Saffron."

"Why?" Alexander, a tall Typloshion asked the quite smaller Manectric as they left the train-station over the abandoned tracks. "Why did this idea appeal so very much to you?"

"Well, first of all, it was fast." the Manectric began. "Second of all...I did smell sausages!" The Typloshion arched an eyebrow. "We threw ourselves under a train, gripping to the small pipes there...because you smelled sausages?!" he said, ending the sentence in an intence whisper. "Yep." The Manectric replied, carefree. "You're mad, Alex." the Typloshion said. "Yep, fully aware, Tob." Alexander replied. The Typloshion, Tobias, sighed and they moved on, without a word.

Ten minutes later, they found themselves inside a building, panting like they just had ran a marathon. Though, a maraton would have been preferred. "Okay...you had...a feeling...that...asking that Feligator to mind it's own...buisness was a smart idea?" Alexander asked. "He asked for it!" the Typloshion snapped. "Prancing around like he was something big!" Alexander looked at his friend. "He was big, mate. He was higher than you, plus his trainer was a body-builder of class." the Manectric said. "But now," he said, before his friend could retort. "We have to find out where we burst into." They turned around to face a room, slowly filling with Pokemon and the faint smell of... "Food!" Alexander said.

Applause again filled the air as Lita concluded her whistle solo--but there were some in the audience that didn't find a polka appealing.

"Okay...let's slow this down a bit." Lita began as she retrieved her mike. Forest, meanwhile, started a quiet piano melody to compliment the Machop's guitar as Lita sang again:

I wake up and hear somebody call my name...that special voice, I remember
The ocean lulls me on to sleep, my thoughts are filled with dreams of you,
My heart dreams of you tonight...

Far away, I hear the sound of crying, and where they are, I cannot tell.
When hearts are sad, they do not know, the happiness that love can bring
Without that peace and joy inside, the sadness consumes them...

I look down on the pieces of, of a dream, a wish; beautiful wish,
These feelings inside of me, they are shining like the stars!
The sea, it rolls on into an orange sun sinking in the west
These tears of mine, they are washed away into the night...

A Squirtle added a light Pokeflute riff in the background as Lita continued:

On that joyous day we were created...I awakened here, and I was called,
From the sky down to the deepest sea, I hear your sad voice call to me,
No matter how the darkness falls, or how gripping the pain...

I look down on the pieces of, of a dream, a wish; beautiful wish,
These feelings inside of me, they will drive the dark away!
And the sea keeps on rolling on, as the sky turns purple with the dawn
My wish for you, do you see it shining, shining through?

One day the time will come, all the war and pain will cease!
They will all just fade away...that day, I hope, comes soon!
So then, I'll sing, sing so that all the world can hear; all around, unto every land and sea...

And so gently, I call your name...
Do you hear me? Will you heed my call?
Little one, I want you to know, of the wish I have for you!

I look down on the pieces of, of a dream, a wish; beautiful wish,
These feelings inside of me, they are shining like the stars!
The sea, it rolls on into an orange sun sinking in the west
These tears of mine, they are washed away into the night...

Na na na na, na na na na... a Charmander and the Squirtle softly sang in the background as the piano and guitar concluded the song, to some applause.

OOC: Don't forget, you can offer anime and game song requests!

Razer heard a faint voice and assumed it was coming from far away. He turned his head to see a blurred image talking. The Persian was right next to him. But still all he heard was blurred whispers. Razer stumbled back and slid a little but quickly got up and ran to the top of the hill. Everything was swirling around him and he felt dizzy. Razer didnt realize a recent battle wound reopened and he was losing an unhealthy amount of blood. He looked back to see the Persian running up to Razer. "Gah....they've...come....for...me...." Razer mumbled to himself. Razer stepped forward just to lose his footing and slide down into a strange city. "Thwoomp!" Razer landed on his side at the back of the city.
Realising he had to continue he forced his shaky paws up abd moved forward.
He looked up and saw a neon sign with red letters. "Maybe....i can.....get...help..." As soon as he moved he fell over again. This time he couldnt get back up. Before he fell uncounsious he could here The persian still walking to The Flarreon.

Tobias nodded his head absentmindly as he clapped. "Nice music here, or what, Alex?" he asked his friend, turning his head towards the Manectric...finding out he wasn't there. "Alex?" Tobias called out, looking aorund, finding him next-to-drooling in front of a sign in the back of the Cafè. Tobias sighed and started approaching him.

"Hmm..." the Manectric hummed quietly as he looked up and down something that seemed to be a menu. "What to chose? What to pick?" "And how to pay?" Tobias interrupted his thoughts. "There are no prizes written." "Let''s just ask, then." Alexander said, looking around to someone to ask.
