I agree with all of this except maybe Shadow Ball for Sylveon. We've seen so many Pokemon use that move that it's become almost like a meme at this point. But yeah, Sylveon needed a much better move set.

I see. I know that Shadow Ball can be redundant from the anime, but I also based of my playstyle from the mainstream games. I usually prefer that my Pokemon had 3 different type attack moves and I barely had them with defensive and status change moves.

Also that the Eeveelutions aren't really known to have access to variety of moves so I thought Shadow Ball would be the best move for Sylveon, as I don't see much of a purpose of a psychic move since it has feelers, dig would fit better to Pancham thanks for its compact body and bite doesn't look like pratical in a Pokemon contest/showcase.

Ash's Greninja should've learned Hydro Cannon as a counterpart to Alain's Charizard's Blast Burn. He didn't need Cut so that could've been forgotten to make room for Hydro Cannon.

But Hydro Cannon would have rendered Water Shuriken rather redundant, so I can see why Gekkouga didn't learn that. I do agree that Cut seemed unnecessary however since he already knew Aerial Ace, which was practically the same thing.

I don't get why Greninja didn't learn Substitute. That would have made so much sense since ninjas can do that kind of substitute trick.

I think Night Slash would've been a better choice than Cut, since Greninja is also a Dark type.
