Name: Hope Valentine
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Hope typically looks like someone who’s had a very, very bad day. Almost everything about her gives off the impression of having been on the receiving end of a good deal of punishment — her clothes are all stained with dirt and who knows what, hanging off her wiry form like they belonged on someone else much, much larger. She walks with a slight limp and a hunched, tired posture, an unhappy scowl permanently plastered on her face, dark bags under her eyes. She’s on the thinner side, not to the point of being malnourished, but certainly not in great health. She tends to cough a lot, and her left arm typically dangles lifelessly by her side. In short, she’s kind of a wreck in every sense of the word, and certainly looks the part.
Her shoulder-length hair is black and looks like a combination of a tornado and a bird’s nest. Her eyes are a dull yellow colour, and have a hollow, lifeless sort of aura to them. Being covered up at practically all times, her skin is on the paler side, and has a vaguely yellowish tint. Her left arm (which was paralysed after an accident in her youth that also damaged her leg) is typically wrapped in bandages and is sightly paler than the rest of her body. Her fingers and hands have a tendency to shake, especially when carrying things for a long period of time. She dresses in a combination of muted blues and greys, and always wears shirts with long sleeves/long pants in order to hide her arm and leg.
Personality:
If there’s one single emotion that could be said to define Hope, it would be bitterness. Having once been a star athlete with no social connections or interests beyond playing guitar in the quiet of her room, she essentially lost everything when she fell off the roof of her school’s gymnasium, and permanently damaged her left arm and leg. With the one thing that gave her life purpose being taken away from her, Hope was left a empty shell of a person, and she filled that void with… well, hatred, for everything, and everyone. She grew to see only the negative side in people, and took an almost sadistic pleasure in the suffering of others, as a way of reminding herself that she wasn’t the only one in pain. Hating to remind herself about her past, she religiously avoids volleyball and sports in general, as well as anybody she used to know. She pretty much spends all her time wallowing in self-pity and self-contempt, and while she’s mellowed out a bit over the years, she hasn’t changed all that much. Basically, she’s a miserable, spiteful wreck.
It would be wrong to call Hope antisocial, but it’s certainly not wrong to say that she isn’t very pleasant to be around.

Species: Metagross
Gender: Genderless
Appearance: Vera's legs and torso are chipped in various places, making her look a little battered. Other than that, she's a typical-looking Metagross.
Personality: Unlike her trainer, Vera is usually calm and compassionate -- the very picture of a gentle giant. She's very forgiving and doesn't really let anything get to her, being able to go through almost any situation and take almost any punishment totally stoically, without batting an eyelid. She's very loyal to Hope, having been saved by her a very long time in the past.
Occasionally, in very extreme circumstances that have yet to come to pass, she'll snap and fly into a berserk rage -- although, thankfully, that has never come to pass, and god help you if it does.
