The Xeno Club V2 (Formerly The Xenosaga Club)

Welcome to the Xeno Club, approved by PsiUmbreon. This is my very first Club, so the opening post might be a bit short.

There are many things people want to talk about Xenosaga that puzzle them. What are possibilities for Xenosaga Episode III: Thus Spake Zarathrusta (Tentative Title by random people, who's names don't come to mind right now) and fixing the problems introduced in II? In which direction will the story go and what will happen to the characters? Will Shion ever actually become a Gnosis, or is she protected somehow? Will there be an Anime based on the second game, or was it just that bad, that there isn't gonna be one. These and more are some questions still bothering people to this day.

Rules:

1. Xenogears talk IS allowed, since Saga is very much related to Gears.
2. No Bashing of anything Xeno related.
3. Respect other members.
4. Anything not mentioned here, but mentioned in the Club Section Rules still applies.

More might be added if this Club is actually sucessfull.

Why I want to join:Because Xenosaga is pretty cool.The only XS game I've played is the second one on the PS2.Unfortunately,they didn't have the first one at Blockbuster,so I was confused when I played it,but it was pretty cool. I'm hoping to rent the first game from Hollywood video,and possibly Xenosaga DS.

Speaking of the DS version, www.dsrevolution.com has some nice pics of that game.

The game is supposed to have both of the PS2 games, but using the fighting system of the first one. I think the fighting system in the second one isn't that great, so that should be a good bonus.

It seems to have some content that wasn't in either of the games. There was a pic of Kosy with her leg broken up to the kneecap. That definitely wasn't in the PS2 games.

You haven't played the first game? That's too bad. You really have to play it. Although it doesn't have the swimsuits (I really liked the ones for the girls, but Ziggy shouldn't relaly have one. Although the color was nice. The minigames alone are worth it. The Xeno Card game should be in all the games with new cards. It's addictive, you know.

It's in one of the articles that they put up. You have to look in the archives. I'd give you a direct link, but it seems to be down entirely, as I'm posting this.

The first game (And the third game too, according to the pictures) has Tech Attacks. They start off as if you're using the battle system of the second game, but the thing is that it doesn't matter what the first two buttons you press are. You can mix them as you like, before using a finishing Tech. These Circle attacks can be leveled up and there are different ones for each character. It's really hard to explain, so I'd suggest that you just get the first game. You'll be glad you did.

Favorite Character: I'm assuming XG characters are okay, right? If so, Elly. She was an interesting character, and I loved learning about her and Fei's past lives. One of my very favorite video game females.
Why you want to join: Because Xenogears is awesome. I haven't finished Xenosaga Ep 1 yet, so I can't give a conclusion on that yet.

Welcome to the club. Of course they're okay. I should get a Mod to rename this thread. After I reposted it, I decided to add the XG stuff for more variety, but then remembered that we can't edit thread titles.

Yay, we have a new member!

I just started XG myself, since a friend suggested I play it. I got out of the forest, but then found out that I can't redo the RPS thing later, so I'll have to restart. I'm thinking I won't play it until PS3 comes out, since this is one game I don't mind losing my save file over because it's so early into the game (Well, that's assuming there is no way to move saves over and we get forced to keep our PS2 to be able to play our old saves).

Of course, I'm hoping there will be some way to move my other game saves over. For example, I have a maxed out Xeno Ep 1, and Ep 2 save. The second one being so long due to the fact that it took me so long to finish GS #32.

EDIT: Man, I could have sworn I clicked the "save" button when I edited in Seishou. Oh well, you guys are on the list now.

So what's Xeno Gears?

Well, it's hard to explain. Xenogeras is what Xenosaga is based on. The people who made Xenogears left Square, wanted to make more Xenogears games, but couldn't because Square still had the patent. Therefore, they decided to make a game based on Gears, and that's how Saga was made.

Ah, okay.

Grrrr, I'm so mad! I rented Xenosaga Episode 1, and I got to the part where you go into the training mode with KOS-MOS. Well, when I battled the first soldier, the battle screen went on, but it took almost a whole minute before the enemies came on the screen. Then everything went fine. I battled another soldier and the same thing happened. Then I go to the more advanced level of battle or whatever, and when the battle starts up, the screen went black. I waited for probably a minute, then shut the game off. Is that supposed to happen or was the disc screwed up? Probably the latter, because there were small scratches on the disc even after I rubbed it on my shirt -_- Urgh....never trust rented discs...

XS 2 has much slower loading times than XS 1. If you had that experience, then it's very likely that the disk is messed up.

Go back to where you got it and explain the problem to them. They'll probably not give you your money back, but they might try to remedy the problem by giving you another copy. Make sure you check it for scratches this time.

It seems that Fluppy is inactive, so I'll just ask you. Would you like to come up with a topic, or shall I?

Okay, I got one.

The XenoCard cardgame was included in XS 1. If you haven't played it, then look up some FAQs.

It's confirmed to already be not in XS 3, as far as I know. But if it was, what new cards would you like to see?
