I wish old Rock Smash Stones and Cut tees in pokemon omega ruby could remain permanently gone. Specifically like the stones in the northern Route from New Mauwille City.

Also mirage islands. so many moves are locked away on random spots. I feel the same way like when homer simpson strangles bart

Eeveelutions deserve better.

I think the Eeveelutions having shallow movepools was mainly intentional, to make them be mostly limited to their own types and not interchange with the others. It's why Shadow Ball is like, one of the only coverage moves all of them get.

I think Sylveon actually got the best treatment since it has Pixilate as its HA. So I don’t think it needs any improvement. As for the others, I agree that they deserve to learn a few more moves such as Glaceon learning Aurora Veil. Never understood why it can’t learn it in Gen VIII.

The anime writers throwing the GS Ball under the bus for the sake of the Celebi movie. Couldn't they have just done what the first movie did and adapt the GS Ball's anime arc into the movie? Did they honestly think the kids watching it would just forget about the GS Ball?
There was an interview with Poké Beach (yes, that was his pseudonym; it isn't just the name of the website) in which the producers admitted that yes, they were hoping that th ekids watching would quietly forget about it.

They have a point--there's a concept known as the "fleeting demographic" among kids' shows in which you can expect near total audience turnover after a few years. Kids age out of the show, and they get replaced by kids born later. You can see it in how the Pokémon anime sometimes outright repeats plots.

I think we need smarter opponents, like trainers who use the same tactics as competitive players, be setting up weather, using Choice items or have specific movesets.
The Genius Sonority games did exactly that. However, the bigger concern is that the Pokémon games' primary audience are children, a lot of whom had never played an RPG of any sort before. It has to be doable without knowing any of the mechanics hidden to the player or requires puzzling out. Raihan in Sword and Shield is the first time a major character is a weather specialist, and in addition to him being a double battling specialist, many people who don't play the games competitively were thrown for a loop.

I mentioned it elsewhere, but in the Hoenn games, a lot of players could not get past Norman and his Slaking. Protect may seem like an obvious counter to you and me, but that's because we know all about Pokémon mechanics and moves not commonly seen going through the games. The majority, if not most, of Pokémon players will not have this occur to them, and particular in the original release of Ruby and Sapphire when online guides were not common or well-known to the general public, the reaction to it is to simply stop playing and quit out of frsutration. This is not the sort of thing Game Freak or any other sane developer would want.

You have to see this from the perspective of someone coming in with zero knowledge. It has to be winnable by someone who learns everything they know about Pokémon video game battling from that game.

Wouldn't getting tougher and smarter opponents as the game progresses be more suitable though?

Nothing I said is mutually exclusive with the games getting harder as they go on. It's just that the difficulty can't get so high that it requires knowledge of the game's hidden or obscure mechanics to overcome. A player must be able to reach the end credits 1) without any external help, and 2) even if it's their first Pokémon game ever. Every main series Pokémon game is aimed at the beginner.

NPCs in the main game who use competitive tactics like those will completely overwhelm such a player. Not that they don't have a place in Pokémon games, but they must be postgame, which is what they're already doing with the Battle Towers.

ORAS: Why did anyone among the developers think hiding the adamant, lustrous and griseous orbs underwater was a good idea ? No-one would ever know this without a guide or spreading it around.

I’m so glad walkthroughs existed for those games.

Forgot to mention this a few ago. A new footnote why i don't want to go through the ridiculously long entire playthroughs in some games.

In Pokemon X
I was finishing the tracking game of finding Moltres by having to guess/use pokedex to track which route it's in.
For example if you used Fly to get Route 7 it can be really far away like Anistar or Snowbelle City. When you find it you don't get to catch it those 10 times. The game literally stops you and the bird stares at you and leaves and it has to be repeated 10 times  It took me several hours to finish the final 7 encounters. It takes a while until it retreats to the sea spirits den.

I did get Moltres in a trade months earlier to mitigate my frustration but i finished the official one just recently in the game since the encounters are ridiculously rare.

It’s Kalos season!
Game Freak deciding not to include the Red and Blue Orbs in Sword and Shield or not being able to transfer items from Pokémon Home into Sword and Shield is annoying.

In theory, Groudon and Kyogre should be able to use their Primal forms anywhere in the Pokémon world.

Also not allowing trade evolutions through the GTS was also a huge mistake. If I offer a Karrablast for a Shelmet, it’s because I want an Accelgor not Shelmet!

And that's nothing compared to the Dexit. There are so many old pokemon i wish i could use in the Sword including Hoenn and Kalos and Unova starters.

You could always breed the fully evolved Hoenn starters that you get from Dynamax Adventures, transfer them into and out of Pokémon Home before and after starting a completely new game and receiving the option to use the PC.

Go not being allowed to bond with Eternatus.
That thing would be far too creepy to create a bond both in games or media watched by kids :eek:We're talking about a extraterrestrial alien skeleton dragon here. Cinderace or any of Goh's other pokemon are more suitable.

I've completed all 3 pokedexes in sword version and several maxed out starters and rares. Not only would it be a lengthy process to start over. But since i avoid HOME and Pokemon Bank subscriptions i wouldn't have enough storage for some of the more dynamax adventures. My Nintendo online subscription is also expired so i don't have access to online help.
