From episodes, to character designs, plots and movies that never make it to the anime, this thread will have it all!! Well I have been doing a lot of research and I have found a lot of interesting things:

Designs:

Yes the first movie was suppose to be the first and last movie for Ash and Comp. Look all those beautiful scenes that never made it to the big screen. Many fan speculate this was Team Rocket finale and the little girl with GSC Misty was the daughter of Ash and Misty!! Interesting!!!

Takeshi Shudo former writer of the original pokemon anime reveal in an interview that pokemon 4ever, was originally was a movie about pokemon fighting a "monster" from ancient times who was revived in the modern world...A Dinosaur? Genesect? The plot later was used in Pokemon Heroes!

The final episode - Can remember who, but one of the former writers said the final episode was an endless war between Pokemon and Humans, so Pokemon rebel against the humans after being threat bad, in one side Ash
Ketchup and in the other pikachu the saver and peacemaker Meowth...so that is why the cat talk!!

Plot:

The famous GS ball - After the dinosaur vs Pocket monster was drop out, celebi was add in the 4th movie, ruing the GS ball arc..why? Because it suppose to include him. Many fan speculate to be Team rocket johto branch finale.

Meteonite and Plasma Plot - After the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami this episode was "postponed", it suppose to air later but after a year and a half no news have been released. Sadly look all that action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCe5PWdu3m8

Cant seem to check out the early image/animation of ash. I'm sure the last item on your list being the plasma 2 parter will continue to get people wondering if it will air.

In a coro coro and nintendo power magazine articles, before the anime premiere they show us something really interesting: Coro Coro article and Nintendo Power article.jpg Looks like Jessie and James where meant to were black rather than white which make sense, since in the games Team Rocket grunts were black and the admin were white. And look no Meowth!!

The differences here look pretty minor, and sketches from one person are always gonna look different than when multiple people animate an entire episode.

Yeah, I don't buy that. The only reason anyone thinks that is that we have had anime staff (or former anime staff) say that the original plan was to be done after Kanto.

Of course, that plan also was when they thought Pokemon probably wouldn't go on for another generation and that the games, let alone the anime, wouldn't see a life outside of Japan.

That all changed pretty quickly.

What they haven't said is when they planned to end Kanto. There is a point in Kanto where we start getting more time between gyms, more evolutions, more non-Gym battle and more non-game related stuff going on in a clear attempt to extend the series.

I think by the time they started making a movie, they had a pretty good idea that their show wasn't going to end any time soon.

Now that doesn't mean there wasn't some change in the movie itself. But then again, it is not uncommon for teaser trailers for movies to be released that have very little footage of the acutal movie in them. Sometimes teaser trailers specifically contain non-movie footage so as not to spoil anything far in advance, or because simply not a whole lot is completely finished.

But yeah, this whole "FIRST MOVIE WAS MEANT TO BE THE FINAL EPISODE OF ALL TIME" stuff is just fan speculation with no basis in truth.

Pokemon 2000 / The power of one: tumblr_luafwyiUcY1r64jmlo1_500.jpg An official pre-released art reveal a mysterious flying machine over a maya looking pyramid locate in tropical jungle. Which gave the hint the movie location was mexico. This never make it to big screen!!!

Pokemon 2001? Hide in the 2000 news archive of serebii website see here: http://www.serebii.net/archive/September-2000.shtml. There is some scenes from a trailer of a new movie call pokemon 2001 which includes a computer-generated image of Pikachu, the johto staters and celebi.
