• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

No they are not the legendary trio I meant, minor legendary trio is what I mean anyway. Like Mesprit, Azelf and Uxie, the regis, legendary beasts and so on. I have always enjoyed getting the other trios to go along with the other larger or whatever legendary trio like Dialga, Palkia and Giratina.

And no goodra isn't one... it's like a Luxray of gen 6. I mean you always get the strong evolves three times just before the legendary Pokemon towards the end of the pokedex.

Yes it is. A pseudo-legendary is any Pokemon with a BST of 600, a three-stage evolution line, and 1,250,000 experience at level 100. It's Pokedex and game location are irrelevant. By your logic Garchomp isn't a pseudo-legendary

Really? I absolutely love Braixen's design. It avoided the awkward-teenage phase and went straight to awesome. I'm not so crazy about Delphox, but I think Fennekin and Braixen are some of the coolest combined basic and first stage starters yet.

I agree with this. I liked the concept of the fire/psychic (NOT fire/fighting again) fox witch. It just got out shined by a ninja and a pine nut.

Well I'm not really the competitive player, I'm a collector... and had never heard of a pseudo legendary before, I guess goodra is one. And I thought I mentioned garchomp is one, never mind xD?
Ah well I learn something new ^_^ Well that's ok then, I was more so disliking nothing to do post-game and a bit more legendaries to catch in game then 4.
Plus I'd never been on a pokemon forum before, just play pokemon and not really interact with any experts xD

I have had a blast playing Pokemon X, I've gotten all the Pokemon possible thus far, up until Pokemon Bank comes out anyway, and clocked nearly two hundred hours. So these forthcoming points are more nitpicky than anything else, but hey, no game is perfect:

1) The difficulty. My only real non-nitpick issue I have with the game, which has already been commonly echoed, is that the game is way too easy, and this is a trend that has started since DPPt. In my opinion RSE are still the toughest games to go through for me, but that is a good thing, and I miss the challenge. I didn't wipe out a single time during my playthrough of X. Honestly, I didn't even know how the experience system had been updated until I'd already gotten eight badges, so I had the Experience Share off for pretty much the entire game, and it was still way, way too easy. Gym Leaders, rivals and especially the Elite Four need more Pokemon. It makes no sense how the last Gym Leader only has three Pokemon! It might be in vain but I really hope this trend reverses for the next set of games. And switch the experience system back to what it was in BW/BW2, that nailed it almost to a tee.

2) The legendary birds. What the heck were they smoking coming up with the idea of how to catch this guys? It's just tedious busywork chasing these guys around knowing that you can't catch them until you bump into it eleven times. The game doesn't even tell you how to get it straight up, so like me you'll think something is up. There seems to be a lot of hand holding in game through the really basic obvious parts of Pokemon, then you get bits like this which could do with some explanation, and yet nothing.

3) The bottom screen menu. This has always been an issue in the Pokemon games, with the exception of HGSS, which in my opinion got the menu system bang on. Yeah, it's useful to have the other stuff like Pokemon-Amie and Super Training down there too, but at least make them scrollable, and have the Start menu there on all the other times. And gosh darn if all those pop ups telling you to use Wonder Trade, the GTS and all the other things you've already done a hundred times already aren't annoying as all heck! As far as I know, there's no way to get rid of them either!

4) The lack of Razor items. This is a really specific issue that doesn't really matter, but why can we not find the Razor Fang and Claw in the overworld? Why do I have to accumulate the points to get them in the Maison, which is post-game? This only bugs me because Gligar and Sneasel are in the Kalos Dex, and as someone who likes to complete his Pokedex as much as possible before moving on, it's just strange to me why I can't get a Gliscor or Weavile without trading until after I've beaten the Elite Four.

Other issues a lot of other people have with the game I'm cool with though, and even really like. The music is great, I enjoy Mega Evolutions and I really like the Fairy type. There could be more post-game stuff, but in the meantime I'm having fun collecting and breeding new things. That's how it always has been, really - the 'third version' is always the one with the cool post-game stuff, so I didn't expect any different. And I don't mind only having sixty nine new Pokemon as I really like most of them, although I am intrigued by speculation (and I understand it is just that) of more Pokemon or even a new region for the 'Pokemon Z'.

The lack of things to do post game. A battle frontier or PWT would be nice.

I smash your Boxes.
Well I read on some wiki that it "has the lowest BST of all legendaries"

Yet it doesn't.

2) I was actually more annoyed with them appearing.
It felt compleely random, and, like Mewtwo, just to satisfy the incredibly annoying Gen I liking.

4) This.
I never see why Pokémon may not Evolve until after the Game Ends, or if only one does, but the other one doesn't. (See Roserade and Togekiss in Platinum)
The same issue was in B2W2 IIRC, but the overall lack of Evolutionary Items bothered me here.
I mean, you can only get one Dawn Stone without Super Training, no Razor Items until Maison, and I still don't know how you would get an Oval Stone

Another thing that bothered me was how Counterparts are generally ignored here, I mean, Ledyba line in the Dex but no Spinarak, Gardevoir gets a Mega Evolution, yet Glalie/Froslass/Gallade doesn't, etc.

Saturnidae

Bugs!! :3
^ Spinarak is in the dex ^_^

I can only complain about the lack of new pokemon.

I love pokemon x. If there's one thing that I absolutely hate with all of my heart... Supertraining was designed for rightys, and that infuriates me as a proud lefty

Gen VI pleased and disappointed me in the meantime. First, I got happy because one more generation was coming, so Pokemon was going to last for the next years xD But they disappointed me as well because of several features they annouced over the months before launching the game in October. Gen VI is both good and bad, it depends on which side you analyse.

I disliked the huge ammount of Pokemons they changed the time because of the introduction of fairy type. While I liked of this new type, I thought it was going to happen as steel type, that changed only one species of Pokemon. When they confirmed the fairy type I thought they were going to change only CleFAIRY line, but no, they changed A LOT of Pokemons. For matters of sense, it would be good if fairy type was something availabe only in the region of Kalos and the new ones that are supposed to be created, and as Clefairy is a spacial Pokemon, it is acceptable that we don't know it very well, but... changing Milotic, Marill and Gardevoir to fairy type. No, as a Pokemon fan I got very very disappointed and disliked this change. I liked the fairy type, but not the much they affected the previous Pokemons.

Second thing I disliked on Gen VI is the "mega evolution", or as some have said, the "digievolution" (even Smogon has used this term). Mega-Evolutions are not a 4th evolution, they're alternate form. It's stupid to name them of "Mega EVOLUTIONS", but it sounds better than "Mega Forms". Well, Ash had a Charizard in the season 1, Gary had a Blastoise, they saw many Gyarados throughout Kanto and never talked about the mega-evolution. They travel through many regions (Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova) and never encountered a mega-evolution. Then, they travel to Kalos and suddenly discover that some Pokemons can mega evolve, and from now on mega-evolutions start to appear often. That just doesn't make sense. Besides the sense thing, most of the mega evolutions are ugly, to make a Pokemon look mega, just put in it some huge spikes (Manectric, Houndoom, Aerodactyl), horns (Heracross), extra hair (Ampharos, Alakazam, Absol, Lucario), and don't forget of a very badass face (Garchomp, Tyranitar, Pinsir, Pinsir). Mega evolutions are also overpowered because they got more powerful the Pokemons that were already powerful, like Absol, Gyarados, Garchomp, Alakazam, Tyranitar etc and it's not by random that Smogon is banning one by one. They could have created only the black and blue Charizard for the promo of the special Pokemon Origins series, but nothing else than that.

Nitpicking here, but Miltoic was not reclassified as a Fairy-type.

Mega-Evolutions are not a 4th evolution, they're alternate form

No, it is indeed a form of evolution. It just does not function the same way as conventional evolution does.

a) Of course it does not make sense, it is the anime, but

b) it does make relative sense in the games, because it was explained that Mega Stones are regular stones that have been irradiated by the power of Xerneas/Yveltal via the energy blast from the ultimate weapon, which was only ever used in Kalos.

2 things I personally hate:

#1) The lack of Legendaries. Only 3 new legendaries? Really now? (I'm not counting the event ones). And you can only catch 2 other legendaries from other gens in your game is also disappointing. The world is so big that I think it would have been nice to find more of them them nestled away and hidden.

#2) Supertraining. It is NOT designed for lefties, which sucks a lot for a lefty like me. It makes getting the evolution stones sooooooo hard.

Mega evolutions are also overpowered because they got more powerful the Pokemons that were already powerful, like Absol, Gyarados, Garchomp, Alakazam, Tyranitar etc and it's not by random that Smogon is banning one by one.

Only three out of the 28 Mega's are broken.

The rest aren't even that hard to take out, heck Life Orb Mewtwo does more damage than MegaMewtwo Y.

Clearly we're great!
The Flare plot made no sense. It was like Aqua/Magma level of absurdity, but taken absolutely seriously without even Archie and Maxie's realization that it MADE NO FRICKIN SENSE.

Also having to have the wifi on in order to use the O-Powers is ridiculous. At least give us the ability to use them on ourselves without wifiing!

I hate how you can ask for things you haven't seen in the gts because ive rage quitted against many people offering mewtwo's or other shinies, and asking for rattata... And then they have the nerve to ask it to be top %. And yes I get it, its a youngster joey reference

I could argue that the plot making no sense is a bit of an exaggeration, but I won't debate about plot here. But you don't need to be on wi-fi for O-Powers. You just need wireless enabled to use O-Powers.
