Masashi Kishimoto, the director of popular shonen anime "Naruto", has reached an agreement with Gainax that he will be the director for the up-comming Rebuild of Evangelion movies, which will feature an alternative ending to the famous psychological, mecha anime.

Gainax CEO Hiroyuki Yamaga said to reporters that "we believe Kishimoto is the suitable candidate for the director position because we would like to shift the artistic and the metaphorical styles of EVA to a more public-suited state."

Kishimoto did not comment on this breaking news.

Kishimoto has nothing to do with the anime; most manga artists never do.
