This is what I have done so far, tell me what you think, everything is appreciated

Don't resize the images, it kills the quality. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you used the default Paint colors. Never use those except black and white. Until you can make your own just copy them from official sprites. And, also, don't get rid of the shading on them like you did with Scyther, because it's just a recolor.

Yes, don't use default colors. I'd say Scizor is the best.

The resizing we can live without.
