Well the Soviets put my granddad in a Gulag but communism is a neat idea in principle but it's way to susceptible to corruption so I'll say Tsarist Russia.

Island Trials. Way more cool and fun compared to stuffy gyms with a bunch of trainers using the same two or three Pokémon.

Bright-colored Pokémon version or darker-colored one? (Red/Blue, Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire, Pearl/Diamond, White/Black, Y/X, Sun/Moon, Sword/Shield)
