Tight Belt Problem

I'm trying to go through Joyous Tower with my Gengar. He has a tight belt, but he still gets hungry when he goes through walls. What's going on???

It drains your belly quite fast.. Rather too fast to be honest.

Tight Belts don't do their thing when walking through walls.

It's because (in theroy) the Tight Belt only increases your belly at the same rate that your belly goes down, conserving you belly. However since when you goes through walls in drains at x5, it would still drain your belly, but still at only x4.

Never knew that there would such a theory to explain the mechanism behind Tight Belt.

I don't even know what the Tight Belt does, but I know that Gengar loses 10 Belly whenever it takes a step in a wall. Hope that helps in some way.
