TM Idea

Since I've noticed a lot of pondering about the order of TMs traded them from the third generation, this idea came to mind. What if the TMs of the previous generation (from 1 to 50) kept their numbers. The new TMs in Diamond/Pearl could be from 51 to 100. Then the TMs in the fifth generation would possibly be from 101 to 150.

Probably not because there probably isn't going to be a fifth generation because this generation is a filler for other generations, but it has some new pokemon as well. Also, because the number of pokemon will go up to 501 (#501 being Manaphy)or 551(#551 being Manaphy). So there will probably be new TM's not old ones.

So how will you trade TMs to D/P?

Attach them to Pokemon and trade them over
According to him, the new ones will have numbers 1-50, and the old ones supposedly will have no numbers and won't be tradeable.

Unless the exact same TM's are kept, then we won't be able to trade them over like we could with Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and FireRed/LeafGreen. But I guess that if a certain TM is one that has remained the same (Flamethrower/Ice Beam/ and the other constants) then you could trade it over.

I dont think they will allow you to trade TN's over to this game, itll probably say something like "Your pokemon is holding an uncompatible TM, please remove this to complete the trade"

WHERE IS PIDGEOT?!
yeh - thatd be in the Time Machine

i like the idea actually. it means you can trade TMs to DP if you need them for a BF (if there is one). but i doubt it would go on from 100 onwards. and i doubt theyd do any of this anyway...

Maybe there will be a Battle Frontier-like place, but more likely in the third game for this generation.
Anyway, back on topic. Game Freak could make 25 TMs for DP (from 51 to 75), whilst some of the TMs from 1-50 still will be obtainable in the game.
