Which TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) cartoon do you prefer: 1987 series or 2003 series?

Nothing to be done
The 2003 series is impressive for what it was able to do in the confines of a children's time block and for the novelty of adapting many of the languishing comic-book plots for a broader audience. It's obvious there was a lot of love going into it the top creative level. However, its over-seriousness regularly conflicts with the broadcasting standards it was forced to adhere to, as well as the many obvious toy placements mandated by the show's third partner, Playmates.

These are elements the 1987 series wears much better. In terms of standing out among its peers, re-watch-ability, and overall fun, I have to give it to the 1987 show. It isn't the storyteller nor the labor of love the 2003 series is (at times), but it's a much more unique animal.
