I quit the pokemon TGC about 2 years ago, I have many reasons as to why. I was sick and tired of things being banned for being old not their power. Like in Yugioh how things are re-released so people can still use them despite their being old and new players can still get their hands on the original cards. I think it is eather a poorly planned ban system or a bad marketing ploy. It makes me sad to see something I love dragged down through the mud.

So now what? I want to keep a few cards for the memories but there is no one to sell them to and I refuse to sell over the web, there are so many ways to get ripped off. A part of me wants to find a league to play with the old cards and earn badges. Yet, I just want to switch over to yugioh as a whole and leave the pokemon TGC in the dust since although I enjoy it Yugioh is more fun for me.

P.S. I love the video games and will never quit those!

I admit that the banning of old cards is really annoying.

But the game is more fun than Yu-Gi-Oh to me - (your monsters last longer than about 2 turns) and it's Pokémon!

I quit for 4 years, but came back into it recently. And I'm having fun, as I have mostly Power Keepers, and in two weeks I've got three exs. And one more on the way, as I'm trading for Flygon ex. It's definately the best card game for me.

So, I'd say don't quit. But don't buy boosters at full price. Go to tournaments and participate in drafts. That way you get boosters cheaper. For example, here they cost £3 each, but in the draft tournament you pay £10 to enter and get 5 boosters.

You know, when the Diamond/Pearl sets come out, that will be the only time I am quitting the Pokemon TCG. Why? It's because of the rule changes. So much change that it makes me want to quit the game completely. Sure, I may not play it anymore, but it doesn't mean I won't stop collecting the cards of my favorite Pokemon. That's only one thing that will not happen. And oh, an issue between Pokemon USA and Neutral Grounds is also happening, in which the League was suspended here... D=

Yeah, I'm wrinting a letter to pokemon usa to bring back the old sets and re print them so cards will be banned based on POWER not on AGE.

I did quit out of boredomness. I started to play Yu-Gi-Oh. I realized that Pokemon is more fun, Yugioh stinks, put my yugiohs in my closet and played ALOT more Pokemon.

I just think that the Pokemon rules make it more competitive.

*note, anything I said is opinions*
