Honestly, I don't feel the writers thought this far ahead when Aipom was caught or even when Aipom was traded. So I don't feel "plot device" is the appropriate term for Aipom. Obviously it had been in planning for a bit, but it wasn't Aipom's sole purpose. Why would she have been a plot device to put Buizel on Ash's team? Why couldn't Ash have just been Buizel's O.T. to begin with? What would Zoey and Kengo think of it?
I don't believe Kengo was ever participating, and he was seen leaving at the end of last week's episode. Jun, however, seems like he was just forgotten about midway through the episode, which is odd given his excitement for this tourney. As stated, they had to cram a hell of a lot into this episode, and thus a few things felt left out.Speaking of, what happeend to Jun and Kengo at the end? Iirc the both of them were a part of the ping-pong competition. I'm guessing Kengo will just be heading off on his own but what about Jun?
Barry taking off isn't too bothersome, considering it fits in with his character. I mean a goodbye would be nice, but I certainly can excuse him not getting a big goodbye scene.I don't believe Kengo was ever participating, and he was seen leaving at the end of last week's episode. For once, I actually agree with you. This is ALL Buizel's fault! >:[... Buizel, I hope you realize it is your fault with your ugly face.
