Tomorrow, Jan 15th 2006 it will be exactly 1 year Deem Bristow, the former voice actor for the great character known as Dr.Eggman, passed away.
I don't know how to say this... but I find this very sad. Deem's voice was the absolute best voice for Eggman ever. After playing Shadow the Hedgehog, I can only conclude that we're very lucky Sonic Team asked Mike to do Eggman's voice acting. I think Mike does great work, but I'll come back to that later.
Even if I think Mike Pollock does VERY good work, I still think Deem was the best. For me, Deem Bristow is to Eggman what Sean Connery is to James Bond: even tho the other bond-actors like Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan did EXCELLENT work, Sean Connery still is James Bond. He was still the best.
Same goes for Deem... he was Dr.Eggman, even if I think Pollock is the only guy that could be given the title of "Worthy folower for a great man like Deem Bristow", he can't beat Deem's amazing work. But don't get me wrong: I like Mike Pollock's work a lot. Sometimes when he talks deeply, he even reminds me Deem Bristow a little, and sometimes Mike has a higher pitch in the voice which reminds me of Otsuka (the Japanese VA with the well known "Oooohohohohooo" laugh)
Mike does a good combination of both deep and high pitched voice which is why I like his work so much. But still... I miss Deem Bristow.
It's been one year he left the scene now, and I will remember him tomorrow. I call upon all Eggman fans that play Sonic games to play your favorite Eggman-level of SA2B (which is Lost Colony for me) in memory of Deem Bristow. Maybe you will find this silly of me to make this thread, but I don't care, and I felt the need to do it. I hope you will understand.

May you rest in peace.
