Torkoal's Win/Loss Record

There are obviously a lot of Torkoal fans on the forums, many of whom complain about how the fiery tortoise has been shafted by the writers. So, I was wondering: what exactly is the battle history of Ash's Torkoal? What other pokmeon has it fought, what battles it won, what battles it lost, etc.

Ash caught Torkoal in after getting his fourth badge.Torkoal beat Steelix in "All torkoal,No play!"He beat a slakoth when battling Norman.And in the rest of the Hoenn gyms Ash didn't use it.

In the Hoenn League Torkoal only had a draw against Tropus,and beat a Shirfty.The rest battles Torkoal all lost.He didn't win many offical battles.In the battle frontier,Ash didn't even bring it.So Torkoal is shafted,I agree.Too bad.

Thanks for the info, but I'm also looking for Torkoal's record in all the battles we've seen it fight, such as against that Scizor in the episode where Ash met and fought Drake. In Torkoal's favor, when Ash basically fought every other trainer in Petalburg City for wanting to challenge Norman, it was just as weary and exhausted as Grovyle, Swellow, Corphish and Pikachu. No doubt it racked up a fair number of wins we weren't able to see due to time constraints.

I think that's all of them. Though I believe it's also defeated Cacnea twice, I doubt anyone is willing to consider that as a proper victory anyway.
Most fans' complaints concern the fact that it never really got any intense battles during it's stay with Ash. In comparrison with the rest of his team (even Glalie), none of Torkoal's victories in battle were ever considered to be anything outside mediocre. There's also the fact that it's performance in the Houen league tornament was outright embarrassing, and that apart from going up against a Slakoth, it never actually got in a single decent gym battle.

I really liked the Lombre battle, that was well animated.

Atleast Torkoal is cool outside of battle.

I hate the writers so much since the Hoenn League, I mean first they give Torkoal least battles, then they make it lose everyone (or tie) minus Shiftry, who in fact it has an advantage over x.x; I mean dear god the writers often make pieces of my soul die with their annoying Torkoal shafting and its horrid battle scenes. ALSO what annoyed my the most about the Hoenn League was Katie switching out her Venomoth then pulling a weakness >: Its as if the writers do these things to hurt me D:

You said it, and with only one Gym Battle it didn't get another chance for an important Battle (minus the Hoenn League, but we know how that worked out). If only Winnona had used Skarmory and made it 4 on 4 then Ash might of chose Torkoal instead.

And what tops off my anger at the writes is how Glalie just floats into Ash's Team (not literally) with hardly any battle experience and sweaps the league shafting Torkoal further. I mean yeah Glalie is fully evolved in all but please it got totally overused in the space of what 8 episodes?

Also Gravy you missed Manetric, which means its Lost match numbers are actually higher than its won match numbers x.x;

EDIT: Before I forgot Torkoal didn't actually get some cool moments in the Spoink episodes.

AND I just remembered at the end of Go Go Ludicolo you see Ash and Torkoal starting a battle with the Ludicolo guy.

Everyone in Ashs party battled just that the likes of Glalie Swellow and Grovyle are stronger than poor Torkoal. Also, Katie is a good trainer by switching. Thats how competitive trainers battle.

Anyway, Torkoal was prety cool but [SPOIL]Donphan[/SPOIL] is a better replacement.
