Squirtle is my favorite out of the three water-types, and my favorite out of the group. Squirtle was also my first Pokemon, so that may add to the factor.

Of the pokemon posted, in general, I like Squirtle the most. In terms of the anime, I like Ash's Squirtle the most. Even then, the only starter pokemon I like better is Charmander.

Squirtle is the best water-type. Even though I think Squirtle's rep. has been trampled through the mud due to the Battle Frontier saga, I still have respect for it and I do love the Kanto pokemon!

Totodile is my favorite Water Starter cause hes just awesome and so are his evos. But Cyndaquil is my favorite Johto Starter since i love Fire pokemon and hes so darn cute. I did vote for Totodile however.

My favourite water starter is Mudkip because it looks sweet and has adorable personality (in the anime of course)
Chikorita is my favourite Johto starter. I liked Ash's Chiko because was jealous and had a big crush on him. She kicked Pikachu a lot =P
