Tracing Pickup

Is it possible to get Pickup-items after a battle if a pokémon (f.ex. ;282; ) have Trace as a Sp.Ability?? I`ve never got an item, myself, with a TracePickuper, so I`m a bit curious! :D

It won't work because once you exit the battle your ability will be reset to Trace.

Ok, I get it now. Thank you, guys! :) I didn`t thought about that only-during-battles-thing *smack myself in the forhead*
