I am trying to trade an egg from leaf green to fire red, and it says an egg can not be traded now. What do I have to do so I can trade an egg? Thanks

You need to get the Sapphire Plates? I never knew that. I thought you just needed to beat the Elite Four and get the National Pokedex.

Yes, you can trade Eggs, as long as you have two other Pokemon in your Party.
