well alot of the pokemon are only obtainable by
Trade from Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen/XD
im currently playing sapphire what do they mean by Trade from Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen/XD

That means you can only obtain the Pokemon in the games listed. You need to trade them from those games to your Sapphire.

how do i " trade them " with other people you mean? like with a friend who has the game and caught the pokemon?
