Trade from ranger to D/P

well i saw on the front site that manafi is avaleble for the US version WHITOUT the japan ticke thingy.

so is it only the manaphy egg we can trade or every one else we caught?

It is just Manaphy since all the Pokemon are caught differently than usual and Manaphy is in its egg and won't hatch until you transfer it.

I wasn't going to buy Ranger (usually avoid spin-offs), but it's worth getting for Manafi on D/P. The game itself can't be that bad... can it?

no, only Manaphy is transferable, and it's special because it's an EGG.

no literal POKEMON are transferable, just the manaphy EGG.

Besides, Ranger > PMD. If I have to say this even ten more times, I swear I'll make an entire thread about why I think a game with dated graphics and bland gameplay should stop being praised as the best Pokemon spin-off game.

I'm so clueless as to why people hate Ranger. First of all, you haven't played it, second of all, you're praising a mediocre game instead of a decent one. e_e

It's the concept. Playing as a Pokemon and exploring dungeons to help other Pokemon is a great concept. Of course, that's not to say that Ranger is a bad game. At first I thought it was really lame - you can't keep the Pokemon except to help you solve puzzles, and it's an adventure game format with the battles being really difficult. However, now that we find out that the bonus missions are unlocked from the get-go, I might get it, if only to get the Manaphy egg.

It's pretty old, actually. Chocobo's Dungeon had about the exact same premise, except with Final Fantasy characters instead of Pokemon.

I'm sure it should be pretty obvious that I hate PMD because it's based on an old game hack (that came out in the early 90's) with a dated graphics and boring gameplay.

The only thing it had going for it was the story, but if the story wasn't that good, I'd have avoided that game like the plague.

I'll probably just play the U.S. rom with a passkey on my DS and do it that way, since I'd rather not buy another copy of the exact same game.

Kudos to you. Thats what I was thinking. I will probably buy MD and wait for Ranger in the UK, just my two pence (Boo at cents!)
