Trading between Emerald and FireRed? @w@

Question...Can you trade between Emerald and Fire Red? D=
I recently got Emerald, and was all excited at the trading prospects, specially because I wanted an Umbreon. Except it won't let me trade! Whiiich I don't understand, because Serebii's pokedex basically says that you need Emerald to complete the FireRed 'dex, and vice versa.

Help? ;

You can trade, but only after you get the national dex on emerald and firered(after the elite four with 60 pokemon caught).

...Iknewthat. xD; *feels stupid* Ayep, I got the National Dex on FireRed, but not on Emerald.

Darn. I was hoping to get my FireRed Flareon over to Emerald, so that I could use it for the Elite Four. Because Emerald has absolutely no decent fire types, and I started out with Mudkip.

Ohwellz. I'll just have to beat the Elite without a fire type. :B

Torkoal is one of the best fire types, IMO. And you can find it on Emerald.
