Trading between US and Euro games?

Kimi

Does this work for 3rd gen games? I've got a US Emerald, and UK Fire, but no way of linking them (DS). I'll be importing Pearl when it's out in the US and want to make sure I can get my pokemon from Fire to the DS game.

Thanks.

I was able to trade back and forth from a USA Emerald version to a French Sapphire version no problem. One thing I do notice is the French name for that pokemon does not change. For example French for gligar is SCORPLANE.

I trade between my two Emeralds all the time. One is from here in the US, and the other is from Japan. The Pokemon keep the same name, however.

trading between different language versions shouldn't be a problem since all the coding is the same. but if the pokemon evolves by trading and you trade it from US game to japanese game, it will screw your game.
