Trading with XD via FR

Might sound really dumb, sincerly sorry but I don't know how to trade XD Pokémons to my FR version. When I go in VS. Mode, there are battling options only. Please help me!

You don't go to the Vs. Mode. Once you beat Greevil, you go to the basement of the Phenac Pokemon Center and talk to the girl behind the counter. Also, you must have got the Network Machine operational in FR to trade with XD as well.

Okay what I used was...

-My FireRed game on my GBA SP
-My Pokémon game on my GC

I have linked the link cable between the game player and the GBA SP. Only the link cable for GBA. Nothing else. I was at Phenac Center & Cerulean Center, at the right place too. Then, on my FireRed, it said: ''Waiting.... press B to cancel''. Sounded pretty normal to me. But then on my TV screen where I was playing XD, it showed a picture of a GBA with a controler and another controler linked via the GBA SP. How do I get that think?

You can't connect through the trade center in FireRed like you do when connecting with another GBA. Once you get to the point in Gale of Darkness where it is waiting for the connection, that is when you are supposed to power on your GBA SP. If the GBA is already on, you just need to soft-reset and it should connect.
