trainer stars question

hello,
i have a question about the trainer stars on the trainers card. i have read in the faq that 200 pokemon are needed to obtain a star but, can they be from the national dex as well or do they have to be from the Hoenn dex per se to obtain the star?

um are you talking about that star sticker on your trainer card which is also the simbol for shiny pokemon on Fire Red/ Leaf Green?

I'm pretty sure you need all 200 from hoenn (seeing how the national dex is kinda of opanial(sp?) because you don't have to go to the lab right after beating the E4).

no it doesn't, cause i have a star in my ruby and i have pokemon from national dex. i have 221 pokemon and 184 hoeen pokemon.

so you mean i can get the star with the national dex? are you sure you didnt get the star by defeating the elite 4 or something?

i'm almost positive its 200 in the hoenn dex, i seem to remember not having the hoeen completed and needeing a star, i could be mistaken though.

It is all 200 in the Hoenn Dex except Jirachi and Deoxys.

Don't tell us rumours.

YOU NEED 200 POKEMON FROM HOENN, NOT NATIONAL POKEMON!

To know how far you've come doing that, just switch National PokeDex into a Hoenn PokeDex. And then see what you need to catch and what not.

After you catch 200 Pokemon from Hoenn, if you have Emerald you can get a Johto Starter rfom Prof. Birch, but only in Pokemon Emerald.
You can see the diploma from the Game Designer in Lilycove, and don't think anything else, you can't get it, only see it whenever you like.

You don't get a star after you completed ALL the National Dex.

You get a star after defeating the E4

You get a star after getting all the 5 pains( contest)

You get a star after getting the 200 HOENN Pokemon.

In Ruby/Sapphire, you also get a star after winning 100 battels in the Battle Tower( I think...)

And In Emerald ONLY, you get a star after having all the gold symbols in the Battle Fronteir.

nce completed with over 1,000 battles it upgrades your trainer card.
