Hey guys, new here.
I'm looking for training tips for my pokemon in fire red. Now this team is for ingame and the occasional neighborhood linkup, so its no pro team. If you guys can include some ev info too, that would be great. I just learned about them but don't quite understand them.
All move sets are target move sets (which means I'll have em done sometime soon)
Pokemon:
Shelgon Lv. 34: Dragon Claw, Flamethrower, Earthquake, Dragon Dance
Metagross Lv.81 : Meteor Mash, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Psychic
Starmie Lv.55: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Surf, Recover
Blaziken Lv.61: Blaze Kick, Sky Uppercut, Bulk Up, Body Slam
Tyranitar Lv. 61: Rock Slide, Earthquake, Thunderwave, Curse
Jolteon Lv. 55: Facade, Hidden Power (water), Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt

Got exp. share, but no lucky egg...

Best locations for training:
- Second round, Elite Four. Great experience because they've got high levels, and because the Pokemon are trained, you get higher experience than you would if they were wild.
- the Unknown Dungeon/Cerulean Cave/whatever you want to call it. Has what I believe is the highest level of wild Pokemon, which is level 67. (Mewtwo's floor; Kadabra and Ditto are definitely found at level 67, I believe I remember seeing a Parasect at that level, and there may well be others.)

EV wise, the best places to train are...
- Attack: There's no one great place to train for these. Goldeen, Machop, Paras, and their respective evolutions all yield Attack EVs. Unown yield one in Attack and one in Special Attack, so you could train against Unown in Tanoby Ruins and then use the "eraser berries" to get rid of the Special Attack EVs if you wanted.
- Defense: Tangela, south of Pallet Town.
- Speed: Diglett's Cave (Diglett- 1 EV; Dugtrio- 2 EVs); Altering Cave (Zubat- 1 EV; Golbat- 2 EVs)
- Special Attack: Pokemon Tower and Lost Cave (Gastly- 1 EV; Haunter- 2 EVs.) Same Pokemon found in each, save that Lost Cave has much higher levels and one of the rare Johto Pokemon (either Murkrow or Misdreavus depending on what game you're playing.)
- Special Defense: Tentacool. I'm sure you know where to find them. :p
- HP: Again, no one great place for these. If you really want the EVs, your best bet would be to swap over to R/S/E if you have them and use the Whismur in Rusturf Tunnel. Ditto, Caterpie (but not Metapod or Butterfree), the female Nidoran family, and Grimer all yield HP EVs.

They're the berries in R/S/E whose descriptions read "Increases happiness, but lowers base [stat.]" An example would be the Kelpsy berry, which decreases Attack.

Just to add on, they seem harmful, but actually if you accidentally got Evs in the stat you didnt want, you want to feed those berries to erase the "bad" points gained.
