Travel diary of "Pokemon Theme Park" in Taiwan (Pics + Diary)
(can any one tell me how to make the pictures bigger? it is really small...)
I’m not really sure if you know that there is a “Pokemon Theme Park” in Taiwan, Taipei. It started from 2006, June 23rd and will close on September 24th. The last location of this park before it came to Taiwan was in Aichi, Japan. It was accompanied with “EXPO 2005 Aichi Japan”. Now, it finally moves to Taiwan and had a grand open on June 23rd, the season of summer vacation.
As the big fan of pokemon, there are no reasons to miss this precious chance. I ordered the pre-purchase ticket in a convenient store near my school. I decided to visit the park with my high school classmate during the summer vacation. After a discussion, we decided to visit the park on July 19th, which is also my birthday. The pre-purchase ticket cost me 700 NT dollars, and if you buy the ticket in the box office of the park, it will cost you 860 NT.
Now I will introduce the park it self. 3 big mascots of popular pokemon will wander around the park and you can take a photo with them if you like. They are Pikachu, Mudkip and Treecko. And you can find a TOYOTA car look just like Pikachu.

The first facility I played was “Pokemon Safari Adventure”, it is the game that gives you a chance to become a pokemon trainer and catch pokemon using special pokeball. Before you start catching, you will have to take a picture and your data will store into the pokeball. The pokeball is equipped with microchip, it works like a sensor. When you see the light point in the safari filed, you have to use your pokeball to interact with the light, and then you will catch the wild pokemon if you are lucky enough. After playing, you will receive a safari card which record the result your adventure.

“Pichu Brother’s Rascal Railway” is the train that will go around the park. The staff will introduce all the information about pokemon’s life.

The most special event is P& N tug of war; this is a voice sensor game. Just like Taiko drum master or Dance mania. Audiences shout with Plusle and Minun to cheer their team, the more accurate your voice is, the greater chance your team will wining the game. The last photo is NDS fishing contest, the boy with cap is my classmate. Treecko mascot will only appear in Event Stage area.
(Bingo party cost 50 NT per person and if you want to rent NDS for fishing contest will cost you another 50 NT, you can use your own NDS of course)
