Travelling around the pokemon world? What to pack?

So if you were really travelling around the pokemon world like ash and co. what would you pack? Apart from your pokemon, potions and pokedex of course, your actual everyday needs.
I always wondered how ash and co. travel so lightly, yet seem to be very comfortable. Luckly never really sleeping in a storm or if they are they conviently find a cave to sleep in. Some episodes they have a tent out (in Brock's backpack?) but others they have sleeping bags out in the open. So anyway back to the question... what would you pack to have everything you needed yet not much weight so you could walk all day, personally i hate carrying those big camping bags.... so how would you fit it all in a regular backpack?

They might have used capsules similar to the ones in Dragonball.

You would have to have all camping and outdoor needs. Things such as pots and pans, bug repellent, etc.

I always figured it worked sort of like that. You can put items in a PC, just like Pokemon, after all.

Let's see... I guess binoculars, a compass, maps, food, matches, cookware, etc. Also, I think rope and string, a knife and perhaps a hatchet, small sandwich bags, and tape would be things that might just come in handy. Granted, some Pokemon can perform some of these tasks, so I'd take that into consideration. All this stuff would make me want to travel in a group that much more... I don't won't to carry all of that. Heh.

So many hot chicks there, so GUESS what I would bring lol.
A teddy bear, to give you some company on those slow, lonely nights?

Yeah, that was kind of a cheapshot, but I had to.

I forgot to mention, bandages and medicine would be good ideas, considering a world of mostly-4ft tall monsters who can, among other things, blow flames.

gee that's swell
I'd pack My gameboy, some medicene, a stuffed animal, and a small blanket. We already know from a couple of eps that May has lotions and stuff

Assuming that, like the Secret Base items, supplies can be stored in PC...
- compass, map, and GPS
- matches/striker/lighter
- good thick rope, duct tape, sewing kit with strong, waxed thread
- hunting knife and maintenence kit
- sleeping bag and small tent
- cookpot, serving bowl, thermos, utensils
- canned food/nonperishables (read: ramen)
- bottled water
- 3 changes of clothing
- sweatshirt, thick jacket, rain jacket
- comfortable, waterproof boots
- wide-brimmed hat
- leather work gloves
- sunblock
- toiletries- bar soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, razor, "feminine products" (or medications to remove that necessity)
- basic medications and first-aid kit, both for me and for Pokemon
- emergency food
- riding helmet (this will make sense later)

Non-necessities:
- stuffed Teddiursa.
- books... paperback of course. A botany guide and mythology, for starters.

How would I carry it? Good question. Good thing for me I'm a horse person and can jerryrig just about anything. My thought would be to find myself a Ponyta. Seriously. I've got the experience that I could train one to be not only a riding mount but also to carry some of my belongings.

What to bring...

First aid kit (I would deem this a requisite)
Collapsible bike
Several Ultra Balls, Potions, Revives, and Full Heals
Several pairs of glasses
Water purifier
Binoculars
Wallet, containing money, photo ID, and the equivalent of a passport
Notebook, several pencils, and a sharpener

Like the idea of the riding helmet! Put some saddle bags on the ponyta too :p. But seriously, i think Ponyta would be easier to break in than real ponies cause they are pokemon and appear to understand human language and behaviour more so than ponies. I reckon that the predator/prey relationship wouldn't be as defined as in real ponies. If you know what i mean, hope this came out right ~_^

I see a lot of people say they'd bring games. I don't think I would. I mean, how do you get bored with three-headed birds and fiery horses wandering the world? Eh, I guess there'd still be rainy days.

Which reminds me: umbrella and rain stuff, like a poncho with a hood or the like.

Volcano Trainer
I would bring everything mentioned above, carry it with a laptop. Lets go storage system!

Even if Ponyta was easier to train due to their communication abilities, an early episode showed that you will be scorched by their fire unless they trust you enough to let you ride on them!

And.. what the above poster said is what I'd do!
