He just leaves and is gone forever. I remember the first time I beat his entire house and he ran away I felt bad, thinking I drove him off. So I actually thought it was some type of side quest and starting in Littleroot town I traveled the entire region looking for him. It was pretty pathetic and a horrible waste of time. So don't anyone go looking for him either.
