Trying to breed shinies :(

Well I have a Male Charmander and a Ditto in the daycare. It says they don't like each other. How do I mate a Charmander so I can try and hatch a Black Charmander?

Edit: I got the Pokemon from FireRed. (Didn't level my Charmander much)

Even if it says they don't like each other, they will still have an egg. And it is very rare that u get a shiny pokemon from an egg, it is a 1/8192 chance. And the charmander is yellow when it is shiny, not black. You are thinking about charizard.

are you at the daycare at four island?if you arnt,then they wont give an egg.it isnt the breeding daycare.

yes you are at the right place to clear it up only on fire red do you breed on island four on emearld you have to be near the electric gym and go right which is how u described it so yes you are at the right place and dont worry they will have eggs i recomend breeding them and cycling back and forth so you can see when they have a egg while you wait for that then hatch the rest also have a pokemon like macargo which will hatch it quicker . hope i helped

the only reason 2 pokemon shouldn't have an egg is if the guy outside says they are playing with other pokemon besides each other.

I believe there is a faq on this but I will explain it...

pokemon in 2 diff breeding groups = No Breed

different pokemon in overlapping breeding groups and from the same game = don't like eachother much = slow
diff pokemon in overlapping breeding groups and from diff games = seem to get along = medium
same pokemon same game = seem to get along = medium
same poke diff games = seem to get along = breed like bunnies

Yes. Even if Ditto and the other Pokemon don't like each other, they'll have an egg. Although I'm not certain if that works in other Day Cares besides the Island Four in FireRed/LeafGreen. I think it does.

No. Level has no effect on breeding. The only things that affect breeding are species, egg group, and ID number.
