It looks tough instead of cute, which is good.

A very close second is Bulbasaur,
a close third is Chikorita,

I am having a hard time choosing between Treecko and Chikoreeta but Treecko gets my vote just because it looks so awesome!
and its a pretty good looking shiny.

I like Bulbasaur's spots, such adorable little speckles. But all the grass starters appeal to me since they blend wilderness and cute.

Definitely turtwig. He's my favorite sinnoh starter, and was the first grass type starter I used.
