Ok. Don't post "OMG I WANT A TUTOR GIMME ONE PL0X" or anything like that. This thread has one purpose and one purpose only; numbers.

I need to check numbers of who is willing to tutor and who would like to be tutored.

Don't post if you are just going to say "NO BAD IDEA I SAY NO". This thread is not for that. Only post and vote in the poll if you are actually serious.

Thanks.

As I said in the other thread, I wouldn't mind getting tutored, since I'm new at EV training.

Pokemon is fun!
Specific EVs trouble me, so I'd like help on that.

I really only need help on pokemon optimization, team building strategy, and advanced battle techniques. I have the basics and moderate stuff down 100%

EDIT: Response to Reno, below: Sorry, I though we were supposed to post what we needed help tutoring with.
XD sry bout that.

This thread isn't about how good you are at Pokemon or discussing anything like that. It is simply for numbers.

Well, as I said before, as long as it has differing levels of tutoring then I am all for it.

Like I said in the other thread. I am in full support of this and have voted to be a tutor.

Tutors shouldn't jsut be random people on the forum however. They need to be able to prove that they are tutor worthy. That is probably up to the mods to decide however. I do think a possible test battle could be fine. They don't need to win, but demonstrate a good understanding of the metagame and such.

Hobby: When you say levels of tutoring, do you mean a tutor teaches UU battling while another teaches OU? Or something else?

Yeah, sorry to everyone who posted and stuff. I suck.

Way to go a-hole!

Like I said before, tutoring is a good way to stop all the stupid threads that happen everyday and only happen because people don't know what they are doing. Tutors should teach how to build and rate teams, this will stop bad rates and bad threads from existing, and will benefit the whole CRMT forum in general. I'm currently being tutored because I can't calculate Ev's and I know jack-shit about the metagame we are currently in. Tutoring will educate me and stop me from making an ass out of myself.

Go tutoring, but the tutors have to be educated in every aspect of the metagame and the mechanics of the game. We can't have bellow-average raters tutoring because that would be a step in the wrong direction. We need people who know what they are doing. I mean look at Rhys, a while with Blue_Ace and he's one of the best raters here. But if we left someone in the hands of a person who THINKS they are good, that will do nothing to help us.

Not really, I was heading more along the lines of some tutors are there for teaching the basics while others are there to help out more experienced players get better at say EVs. Though this could incorporate what you are saying I guess, considering venturing into a new tier can at times require a little more knowledge.

I kind of disagree with this. I feel a tutor should be good at what they are teaching. Not EVERYTHING there is to know. Like say I want to teach Mono-type battling. That doesn't mean I should know how to effectivly EV train or battle UU.

EDIT: Although the EV training idea was bad. But you get the point, right?

Yes I understand, but whats the point of having multiple tutors? I mean one tutor who can show you everything you need to know is better than a person that can only teach one thing. The person who knows it all can put it in a way so that you can balance out your knowledge of all things, not just one aspect, and then going to another part of competitive batting and only learning that one part super in-depth. For this to work, they need a common level of what a person in a high level situation would have to know, that means general, not just one in depth, because learning all parts in-depth isn't practical.

i am not new, but i could definatly use some tutoring, i can do evs and junk but i still have a lot to learn

Well, as much as it seems like a good idea to have only one tutor. that is theoretically impossible. The great population of Serebii people who would want to be tutored is way too much for just one person to handle. What I'm saying is each tutor specialize in one thing, but still be able to teach the other items.

I would be interested in getting tutored; competitive pokemon has a metagame that greatly interests me but I would love a push in the right direction
