Brock's line about hooking up with the trucker though....does PUSA know what the phrase "hooking up" typically means especially when said by a skirt chaser like Brock?

Since this was PUSA, I suppose that it was an intentional in-joke. They surprised me in the DP saga since they let some mature terminology slide, such as Kojirou's "hussy" line in Hunter J's debut episode.

So James got Carnivine and Ash caught Starly. That was all that happened here other than Dawn helping Pikachu and failing to catch a Buneary.

Dawn getting to spend a whole entire episode with Ash's lost Pikachu made me want to see her catch it even knowing that it was impossible. I thought that James getting that new flytrap Pokemon was too sudden and I would rather have seen James catch it instead of getting it from his old house.

Good episode. Dawn's clumsiness was cute, although I disliked Buneary kicking her in the head. I liked seeing Piplup help defeat TRio's Pokemon and Dawn taking it to the Pokemon Centre to recover. Dawn and Piplup arguing was funny. I liked seeing James reunite with Carnivine and the latter hurting him out of affection. The crude image of James, Carnivine and Jessibelle was neat. I was glad when Ash actually battled Starly with his Aipom to catch him.
9/10
