From a purely fun point of view, it's only a bad idea if you don't like Infernape.

It might work if you make one a phisicle attacker and the other special.

For fun purposes only, it wouldn't be bad provided that one is a Physical sweeper, and the other one is a Special sweeper.

If it's for fun then why not. If it's for competitive battling... you might want to rethink your strategy.

Yep. Make sure they have different attacks AND you also cover their weaknesses with other pokemon.

I wouldn't do it, Two fire types in your team is a bad idea. But If you like Infernape, go ahead.

He's not trying to be competitive. He just wants to have fun. I say go ahead. It's your team, and if you want two, get two.

For fun - then go for it. And you can train them differently as already suggested.
