Two Questions.

Graceful
I've got two questions, just wanted to know the answers...

1.) EV's. I see when people want their teams rated, they always put "255 Hp. 6 Att, 190 Def". Do you actually have to physically count your EV's, eg "I just killed a Dugtrio with Macho Brace, which equals 4 speed EV's", or is there an easier way?

2.) IV's. What the smeg are they? I heard some guy say he had a perfect pokemon with 20 IV's? What are IV's, and how do you know how many you have?

I don't know of an easier way. Calculator is as best as you can get, or how many Pokémon equal how many EVs. The fastest way to earn EVs is when you have a Pokémon that has or had Pokérus, and give it the Macho Brace also, for a 4x EV win.

IVs are the hidden Values that differ from Pokémon to Pokémon and from Stat to Stat. They're a random value that ranges from 0 to 31, and each one equals 1 Stat Point at the end. There are 6 IVs per Pokémon: one per Stat. IVs are generated as soon as a Pokémon is created (You receive an Egg, you find it in the wild, etc...), and for the most part, are always random. They can't be controlled easily, nor modified at all. The higher the IV, the higher the Stat. The "Max Stats" you see on sites refer to an Stat with 252 EVs and an IV of 31.
