Swimmer (water)
Sage (Legendary)
Aroma Lady (Grass)
Rocket (Poision)
Blackbelt (Fighting)
Hiker (Rock)
Super Nerd (Electric)
Breeder (Baby)
Fossil Maniac (Ground)
Cool Trainer (Dragon)
Anti (Dark)
Mechanic (Steel)
Psychic (self Explanetory)
Bird Keeper (Flying)
Bug Maniac (Bug)
Chef (Fat Pokemon)
You start out with a random one of these, and if you put enough of a certain type into the PC, you will unlock another avitar.

I think when they have the online feature,you'll be able to choose one for your profile.Or if we're lucky you can choose on of these to have,like instead of 1 trainer,they let you choose from a list of 3D models to rep you,and then you can unlock more.

I do hope that we can choose an avatar, it would be cool to differ from your friends and it would also throw a little bit of your personality in the game. I would choose either the pyro or the super nerd, since those are my 2 fav types.

I guess that could work, but it would just be easier to pck one off a list.

But then that would ruin the unlocking aspect! And you could port your Trainer from the GBA games, and you'll get his Avitar.
