Typhlosion vs Infernape?

For my competitive team. I'm planning on using Typhlosion with the traditional Scarf+Eruption set. And idk what set for Infernape. Which is better?

Infernape easily, he's the best fire type

I'd say Infernape is generally more useful than Typhlosion in battle, but it ultimately depends on your team.

Typhlosion. Now that's a real Fire-type.

In-Game=Typhlosion
Competitively=Infernape

Typhlosion with good defenses, eruption+Scarf+Sunny Day+Sub=Deadly
Infernape+Bulk Up a few times=Deadly

Most of the time just run with Infernape but Typhlosion is fun to use here and there.

Infernape is infinitely better. Type, movepool, stats, etc.

But I like Typhlosion more.

Infernape.

Typhlosion(I struggle to write it correctly):

Pros - Good Sp.Atk
- Access to Eruption which makes it great in sun teams

Cons - WEAK TO STEALTH ROCK.
- Walled by any special wall
- Retarded ability. Its DW ability is situational.
- Cannot switch into many attacks

Infernape:

Pros - Great typing
- Ability to set up Swords Dance
- Ability to go mixed
- Access to priority
- Good DW ability
- VERY good speed.
- Not weak to Stealth Rock

Cons - Weak defenses
- Retarded standard ability
- Completely walled by Jellicent and Dusknoir, unless it already has set up a Swords Dance.

So both are good, but there's a reason Typhlosion is RU and Infernape OU.

Typhlosion easily. if trained well can OWN, and if you ant a fire/fighting type go for blaziken.

I think Typhlosion is the better Pokemon, but Infernape is also good.
