Federal Minimum wage remains the same, it's states that vote to increase it so it's not him.

The trade deal with China literally hasn't happened, it's a pump and dump strategy for stocks so people can manipulate them. If anything we've screwed people over with tariffs more than anything else.

North Korea doesn't have functioning Nuclear weapons and wouldn't attack with them anyway.

We literally redid NAFTA and just called it something else, because people care about names more than substance.

Iran is mad at Trump more than anything else because they killed their most popular public official, they aren't going to wait until he's gone.

Iran just placed an $80 million bounty on Trump's head with intercontinental ballistic missiles at the ready targeting the White House.

99% of the time it wasn't even anything taken action on, just stuff where his dementia rattled brain went "yeah that could be good" before those around him told him otherwise. The biggest was arguably the school shooting stuff where he acted like guns were a problem for a hot second before he was convinced it was actually video games instead.

The only good thing was restricting Vaping, but even then that goes against GOP values, but considering the GOP is Trump at this point they'll follow him into hell.

America had a pretty good run, all things considered. How many systems of government last for 244 years straight?

I'm surprised that's considered a good thing - given that over half of vapers are former smokers, vaping has been something of a public health revolution. IMO regulation should be something for at least five years down the track, after tobacco has become increasingly commercially unviable.

Edit: A little over half of vapers are former smokers, but 40% of users continue to smoke.

I mean that restricting it by age mainly when young people are just mysteriously dying from it. Overall as long as someone did it on their own without bothering people it gets a little more complicated, but big tobacco companies were starting to push into it anyway.

Same here. If it were anyone else doing what he has been doing, their butt would be banned by now.

That's certainly true.

Besides the guns thing, he also said he wouldn't interfere with trans rights.

By the time we got to the guns, I felt that the Democrat party were fooling themselves to believe anything could get done on that.

Empires tend to last quite a while, but their laws are subject to extremely rapid change.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...stitution-changes-that-would-weaken-successor

Sort of a late call, but apparently Putin will be changing Russia's constitution. Current and soon the previous constitution was adapted by Boris Yeltsin during the 93 constitutional crisis, and it resulted in the current semi-presidential system. These changes will turn Russia closer to a parliamentary system(though semi-presidential system will remain, it will just become closer to Egypt/Poland/Romania than France), which follows in the changes in Sudanese and Kazakh constitutions that limited president's power while keeping president as the executive (for the policy wonks, Sudanese and Kazakh changes reestablished PM position, but kept it as position elected by the President. There were also a few changes that gave more power to the parliament which is, or in Sudanese case, was dominated by the ruling party to the level of a de-facto one-party state).

While this will ultimately keep Putin in power behind the scenes, this will also further democratize Russia, so it is a bit complicated. Until the full text of the constitutional changes are clarified we can't make huge claims, though the tl;dr is this is a good thing if you are a Russian, and a bad thing if you are a country in conflict with Russia like Ukraine and the best of the worst outcomes if you are part of the Russian opposition.

Bernie is leading in Iowa.

Let's ****ing go.

@ Sanders V Warren catfight:

I mean, I'm kind of willing to give Warren the benefit of the doubt in the sense that body language and tone play a part in overall messaging too. It's plausible that while Bernie was discussing the difficulties of running as a woman against Trump, he could have come across like what he was actually saying was that a woman couldn't win. Though, the idea that Bernie straight up said a woman can't win, period, full stop - is a lie so ridiculous it baffles me how she thought she'd get anywhere with it.

What's more upsetting about it is that it gives fire to all these douchebags that attempt to discredit social justice by attempting to broadly paint movements like feminism as whiny caricatures.
