The problem with Texas is they have a separate power grid to avoid federal regulations, so it’s not easy to send immediate help to them.

thats interesting, maybe it was a "we'll fix it later on" issue and they didnt get around to doing that. Japan has a weird system like that with the top half of the country where areas of the top half of Honshu run at 50HZ while the any area in the southern half of Hinashu and lower islands at 60HZ. though that more of setting up the system back in the day with 2 different companies/system and never unifying the 2 grids.

Yeah, trying to get Texas to change is like trying to get Sneakers O'Toole to take his sneakers off.

But seriously, hopefully most of you know that the people in power doesn't quite accurately represent the entire population.

Who's Milo?
Milo Yiannopoulos. He's a far-right winger, Islamophobe, and former token gay editor for Breitbart. He was accused of defending pedophilia after he said that sex between a 13-year-old and an adult can be consensual.

The job of the government actually is to help its citizens, you brain-dead chimp.

Even a chimp knows to protect its troop.

The guy is little more than that robot lap dancer from Futurama. Insert cash into slot, get motoroilboated.

Chicago Tribune has been acquired by Alden Global Capital.

This isn't surprising, as we return to normal death of local media and retail will continue unabated.

That is going to be a bigger problem in future when we inevitably shift for molten-salt batteries.

Edit: In somewhat important global news, New Caledonia's independence parties have won the majority for the first time in 40 years.
Looks like the third time will be the charm for the indy movement there, as they will be able to capitalize on vaccine rollout even if it is actually provided by the French government.

In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night ...
Aaand he resigned.

...Oh, and apparently, he said that what he said was "taken out of context."

What context was left out? The dude literally said the services you pay for are handouts.

There's a difference between taxes and tribute.
