On all 3 counts, and all jurors...

I know so many people can at least breathe in relief knowing that some form of Justice was served because the fully justful thing would have been that it would have never escalated to this.

It goes to show that crime, especially fueled with hate, CAN and hopefully WILL go unpunished.

That's the thing. This is far from over.

Hopefully, this is a cornerstone to something much bigger.

One can hope.
Said it perfectly. My hope for this to be the start of something bigger is small but cautiously optimistic.

As good as this verdict was it will be used as a sign the system is working and doesn't need to change, when it's really quite the opposite.

I actually dread this will make cops go absolutely rabid lunatic and do some very awful things here and there.

It was wonderful to see Derek Chauvin get what he deserves, though there is still a lot of work to be done. Hopefully this is the start of something bigger. Also meanwhile, the blue lives matter crowd is crying because they can't handle the fact that an officer was finally held accountable for their actions. Tucker Carlson had a meltdown on his show and kicked off a guest because he couldn't handle the truth.

Now they need to try and convict the rest, and #DefundingAndAbolishingThePolice while #DefundingAndAboilshingPrisons in favor of a modern system that doesn't originate in catching slaves and criminalizing poverty, respectfully.

But we need the police to prevent total chaos from occurring and not all cops are terrible people. And prisons do keep dangerous criminals off the streets. This is just one of those things where there is no easy solution to the problem. We need to find a way that works for everyone without creating even more problems in the process.

We don't need the police or punishment-themed prisons.

We need better, modern, bigotry-proof things.

The big problem is the police have so many systemic issues that are being refused to address it’s at the point where the police are causing more problems than stopping them. Derrick Chauvin literally did what he did because of more money and “training”

I keep hearing “it’s a few bad apples” without the second part of the line that’s the whole lesson.

We need law enforcement to keep things from becoming total anarchy which just leads to utter chaos. Chaos is a very bad thing to try to live with. Yes you can adapt to some of it but eventually you will have enough of it and just snap mentally.

Providing people with more comfortable and secure lives does way more to stop crime than police. When police have gone on strike in the past crime has actually gone down in places

Especially when the main teaching force of police is literally “killology”, treating people like threats that need neutralized right away.

I suggest you do some reading. People aren’t saying “defund the police” without actually doing relative thinking and planning around it. Additionally there is research about the criminal justice system being designed purposely to keep people incarcerated and in the system. We need to rehabilitate criminals not cast them away and throw away the key. It isn’t just as simple as police=protection and jail=keeps bad people away.

This in direct violation of the first amendment. So the Republican party is okay with DIRECTLY infringing on our right to peacefully assemble and protest, but anything suggesting background checks, red flag laws, ect is suddenly NUUUUHHHH MUH GUN RIGHTS!!!
They assume and lie that any leftist protest is unlawful and violent, and the cops and the media are encouraged to agree.
