And this is the moment right when MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell fights the most unwinnable pillow fight yet: a $2 billion defamation lawsuit by Dominion for his election fraud movement.

Man ain't it refreshing when #trumpreinstated and #TrumpIsALaughingStock are trending, and you know he's getting ridiculed and that no, he isn't coming back, while all the QAnonites, Trumpers and MAGAts are left to cry waterfalls?

He’s still going? After all the time’s he’s been disproven? Wow.

One of my problems with the Trump discourse of anti-Trumpers is that Trump is a problem, but he isn't the only problem.

Trump basically has the base problem that Gaston had in Beauty in the Beast, where not only could he do want he wants, but people enable his behavior. BTW, this wasn't a callout to anyone here in particular, just something on my mind.

things are going swell in Afghanistan... it only took 20 years to setup a highly restrictive and oppressive Islamic state. the "world police" did their schtick again and let things fall into chaos again. not that surprising to say the least but it seriously sucks to have a taste of freedom and all have it fall to beep when the biggest supporter of peace just pulls out. it didnt take very long at all for them to take back 2/3 of the country.

i think the world police should probably choose to stick their noses out of such conflicts in the future but its in their DNA to want war/police nations with terrorist issues.

i am a bit disapointed that Ttump has got a few more months to come with another lame excuse to delay his court issues. they should give him a week to get better excuses as they wont get any better ones with any more time. his legal troubles should all be put to trial within a year or 2 and then he can rot in a cell for his last 5 years of life.

The Kabul government had an entire generation to develop a workable system, and utterly failed. It makes zero sense to keep throwing money and lives into that bottomless pit, and the Taliban has only gotten stronger with a two decade recruitment drive and provincial warlords slowly going to their side.

It's terrible but this has unfortunately been the case since the 70's, and America invading it to line the pockets of defense contractors first and maybe help people if they can get around to it one day later on was always going to be a disaster at some point.

true enough, it was always tribal where cohesion was a dream at the best of times. it wasnt perfect before USA or Russia and usa just helped it stabilize for a bit. it was a cluster situation from the start. its a shame the government wasnt able to hold a working situation and the outcome was predictable. throwing lives and money can only go so far to fix a government.

1970s proxy war and then a terrorist attack that may or many not have been let through by intelligence so they could start a new war. i dont really believe the conspiracy theories but so many have popped up over the decades where its hard to separate what may or may not be true. NSA is strong but if they want a war then they might be able to have info that would be convenient to "forget/overlook" to get that military contractor money. not claiming thats the case but money has a way of ruling poilitics.

Total crypto market cap has returned to 2 Trillion dollars. It will take a while for it to return to near 3 Trillion high, but ultimately Elon Musk giving up on crypto didn't mean much.

For the Afghan debacle, US's current strategy, despite the rhetoric around China, is really focused on entrenching itself in the post-Soviet Europe, so if you are worried about endless wars in the desert, don't, you will have cold conflicts in the plains with Russia instead, at least until Biden presidency ends or Covid stabilizies to some point. Whichever comes first.

Covid is never going to stabilize, because current politicians won't allow it to. It's too good of a political weapon. One of the most famous political quotes that politicians really take to heart nowadays is, 'Never let a good crisis go to waste'. Believe me, they won't.

Say 'political politician' three times fast. It's fun.

As for Afghanistan, we are seeing a literal 'Fall of Saigon' scenario as I type this. The difference is with Vietnam, they stopped after they took the country. If people think the Taliban will stop with Afghanistan, they are sadly mistaken. The people in that region will pay for this blundered withdrawal.

He's one to talk, given he is the guy who screwed over Weird Al at Columbia Records. You **** over Weird Al, you **** with all that is good in the world.

And do they REALLY want a woman of color as President, even under THESE circumstances?

It's hollow. It'd never get past the House, and it's just election posturin for a wannabe Trump VP/Attorney General.

Reminder that Trump bragged about pulling back the US army from Afghanistan before Biden could do so (Trump failed), openly supported the Taliban, and the GOP made sure to erase the evidence just today that he said so.

Also, several infamous Republicans while being hypocrites are siding with the Taliban.

Trump did some idiotic things. But Biden defended the decision, and still continues to do so when he had the power to do something about this.

The next generation will wage the next major war against the Taliban, and because of these blunders, it may well be a World War. In the meantime as I said, the people of Afghanistan will pay for these terrible decisions.

Biden delayed withdrawal by 4 months, and the alternative was throw more soldiers into a war only 10% of Americans support more action on. It would be incredibly unpopular if he did another surge.

It doesn’t help that a FOIA request in 2019 showed that the top military brass was lying about how bad Afghanistan was going, so this outcome was kind of happening regardless. The only thing Biden did wrong was assure people that leaving wouldn’t have had this initial result, but in a way proved we did need to get out. If this was the result after 20 years for this quick of a collapse means no amount of time would have helped.

After 20 years, it kind of looked very useless to keep defending Afghanistan if it was going to fall so easily without the US helping after all that time. As sad as it sounds, there wasn't much point to keep defending it.

Yeah. The war benefited no one except defense contractors. We should have gotten out a long time ago.

Abbott was at a very maskless Republican convention in Arizona like a day ago.

However, he is vaccinated and using exclusive treatment, so he will surely be fine.
