Beoing workers have decided to strike with 96% of the its employees voting for it. That was a long time coming, as the company’s management really put the screws on their machinists (pun very intended) for years. The below song says it all:

I say it's about time Kamala Harris cleared the reasonably low bar of going full scorched earth on the orange convict and actually talking about the issues.

It's too bad that we will never be free of that him unless he loses and gets jailed for the rest of his life. He will continue to act like a pathological liar and pull off stunts like that disgraceful assault at the Arlington National Cemetery. It's not funny at all... it's sad and scary. 2016 was truly the year that the worst outcome happened at the worst possible time.

At this point they're just the same person in different clothing.

They're both funded by the same institutions, spouting the same foreign policy, and neither shows any real promise of putting American citizens first. It's all about who can give Netanyahu the most tax dollars. I feel like they're both willing to let the US go up in flames if it means keeping their hands in the goldmine that is the Ben-Gurion Canal.

I never should've came back to this country. I don't even wanna vote anymore. I just wanna leave.

Granted, there are problems with Kamala Harris on immigration and Israel, but at least she is not encouraging Reichstag-level violence like the orange convict is after one of his former supporters discharged a firearm within 500 yards. Yeah, a guy who voted for the orange convict in 2016 wanted to kill him. Even though, the suspects in both cases were white, male, Republican, and not an immigrant, the orange convict is now giving the green light for political violence to emerge. Huge difference there in my book.

I don’t blame you for wanting to leave the country like Pierre Salinger did after the 2000 disaster after Bush II. I honestly thought enough people would come to their senses after Biden took office, but no, that would violate the principle that evil will always win. This is what happens when the Democrats become the Party Who Cannot Win because they will not learn from their mistakes.

By the way, which country are you looking to escape (back) to? I heard that Austraila and Spain are good choices, as the cost of living is affordable, and the healthcare is decent in those areas. Someone who has experience living there can check though.

Personally, I would not consider a president being willing to use American tax dollars to fund a military that has been verified to have r*ped and murdered thousands of children a mere 'problem,' and the fact that so many Americans willfully ignore Kamala's persistent support of this is astounding.

I do not want my tax dollars used to fund the slaughtering of innocent people, especially children, and US tax dollars are already poorly allocated at it is. Anyone who allows the murdering of children is evil. That is my take. Since both Trump and Kamala support the Israeli military, I refuse to vote for either. I will not have innocent blood on my hands.

By the way, which country are you looking to escape (back) to? I heard that Austraila and Spain are good choices, as the cost of living is affordable, and the healthcare is decent in those areas. Someone who has experience living there can check though.

The country I intend to return to is Italy, particularly southern Italia. I have lived there before, and I can honestly say I was happier there than I ever was in the US. While the northern regions of Italia can have their racist bouts, the south is much more forgiving, not to mention the cost of living is quite pleasant in certain areas (luckily the areas I prefer haha).

Plus, Italy is one of the few members of the EU that has stated support for Palestine and recognizes the ICJ's ruling of Israel being an apartheid state.

For me, as both a black and Jewish man, this crisis speaks great volumes to me. I don't like Netanyahu using my people as an excuse to kill the innocent, and I don't like that Israel is supposed to be a safe haven for Jewish people, but they strongly mistreat Jewish people of color. For most Americans, this is just another political issue. For me, this is my life, and my family's life.

The chances of the Republicans flipping the North Carolina Governor's office are now officially dead. You wouldn't believe what had just happened to Mark Robinson.

Today is a big day. For the first time in American history, a former President has reached the age of 100. And as such, happy birthday to Jimmy Carter.
Happy Birthday indeed to Jimmy Carter. There was a very real chance that he wouldn’t make it that far since he was in hospice care. I am glad he surpassed expectations and is now a centenarian.

I'm not really understanding Kamala Harris' voters right now.

They are so eager to not have Donald Trump in office, they are willing to overlook any awful thing Harris has done, no matter how severe. They don't even realize that Harris and Trump share a number of policies; they just don't want Trump.

Mind you, I also don't want Trump, but I'm not a "lesser of two evils" kind of guy. Evil is evil. I'd rather choose a better candidate than those two.

"What the hell...?"
The thing is, Trump is stupid evil.

It's not a matter of "lesser of two evils" when one evil is basically a sociopath whose mind is slipping the closer we get to election day but his side is trying to fool everyone into thinking "he's got this!"

...Or do you really think this is a logical choice?

Like, I get wanting to criticize Harris, and I would even encourage people on the left to criticize her. That being said, there are only two possible winners coming out of this election. If you want to protest vote, go ahead, but don't kid yourself that the candidate you picked instead can win.

Juuuuuuuust in case people are somehow on the fence here...

Trump just said Ronald Reagan was his favorite president when Trump was a child.

...Reagan became elected when Trump was 30.

The this entire point is mad backwards, and simple math proves it.

There are not two possible winners. If all of the people voting for Kamala Harris voted for someone else, that someone else would win. It's that simple. You take the apples out of one basket and put them into another.

The issue is voters are so used to the two-party mindset, they have been tricked into believing there is no other option, even though options have been sitting here this whole time. The problem is not that there aren't options, nor that they're bad options. You all just won't pick them.

It is my honest belief that Americans are so used to being pushed into choosing a president, you don't know how to decide for yourself anymore. You'd rather let the political system decide for you.

EDIT: As for the subject of "lesser of two evils," @AuraChannelerChris , a comedian known as Mar Grinvites made a very nice analogy. She stated, "Deciding between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris is like deciding whether to drink gasoline or nail polish remover. One will definitely kill you, and the other will... kill you but not as fast."

Quite plainly, just because one isn't as bad as another, doesn't change the fact that it's bad. We have to stop telling ourselves we don't have any other choice. We clearly do. Just vote for someone else.

The problem with this is it assumes that everyone voting for Kamala will put their vote into the same basket. You could easily split the Democratic vote in a dozen different ways which guarantees a trump win.

I'm not assuming they will; I showing that they can and simply refuse not to. That is a huge and very important difference.

Folks loved blaming Jill Stein's voters for Trump winning in 2016. I didn't vote for her myself that year, but looking back I recognize that the problem wasn't Jill Stein or her voters. They wanted a better option than they were given. Why are we always condemning other Americans for wanting something better? Even worse, why are we constantly refusing to take that option ourselves?

We've been doing this dance with Republicans and Democrats for nearly 200 years, and what has it gotten us?:

- Women are still fighting for their rights
- Black and brown people are still getting massacred
- Native Americans are still losing their land
- Our country is still getting sucked into wars that have nothing to do with us
- Our economy is constantly facing collapse
- The value of the US dollar has all but tanked

We couldn't even end slavery and Jim Crow with the help of Democrats and Republicans. We got both because black folks damn-near burned the country to the ground, and politicians were scared. Almost every time we've gotten a major freedom in this country, Americans had to scare politicians into giving it to us. They never gave it willingly. Not to mention our prisons are filled with tends of thousands people forced into slavery right now, thanks to a clause in the 13th Amendment.

I'm tired of this dance. I figured y'all would be, too. Don't y'all feet hurt?

How likely is it that a third party candidate would win? How many people could be convinced into voting third party? How do you get the megalith states (California, Texas, New York, Florida, etc.) to vote third party? How would you convince the swing states (Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan etc.) to vote third party?

Look, I'm not even saying that an individual cannot vote third party, but be realistic with your outlook. You are protest voting, and your candidate is not winning. That's basically a fact. You would be kidding yourself otherwise.

I'm not exactly the biggest Kamala Harris fan. I have my own issues with the Democrat party, and I don't like the further downward direction the Republican party is going (it's been bad for a while, but this?). Heck, I get it if you distrust the government, but it's not just within the two party system. Most if not all the third party candidates suck. Jill Stein sucks, but in different ways that the two candidates that have any shot of winning.

Trump just made a speech at Madison Square Garden, and it was quite horrific in terms of what he said.

So, with one day before we see if America will fall into an eternal nightmare under the orange convict, I am going to make my final predictions regarding the Senate:

I believe that the Republicans will pick up West Virginia, Montana, and … that’s it.

My hottest take is that they fail to flip Ohio, as I feel that Bernie Moreno has made one mistake too many in that race. Combining this with Sherrod Brown’s incumbency advantage, Ohio Democrats’ decent downballot organizing, and the Democratic resurgence in the Midwest, I believe that Sherrod Brown will eke out one final term. Despite Elissa Slotkin’s unappealing personality, I think that Mike Rogers has made too many organizational slipups for him to win in Michigan. Wisconsin and Pennsylvania might get close due to the presidential baseline, but I think the incumbency advantages of Tammy Baldwin and Bob Casey will pull them through the finish line. Finally, I think that Kari Lake has completely blown her race in Arizona due to all of the “fraud” BS that she pulled since her 2022 gubernatorial defeat. I will greatly enjoy seeing Ruben Gallego achieve the only realistic pickup opportunity this cycle, as he is a serious, serious upgrade to Kyrsten Sinema, who will not be missed at all for all of the garbage that we endured from her over the past 4 years.

Granted, picking up West Virginia and Montana is unfortunately still enough for the Republicans to seize control of the chamber with 51 seats. It is just so upsetting to see how incompetent Montana’s Democrats have gotten in organization, as I saw firsthand on how its volunteers have just been merely going through the motions without making any headway. The campaign leadership for Democratic campaigns up and down the ballot is total garbage and have not taken in volunteer feedback in a meaningful way, and Jon Tester does not have nearly enough support in the areas where he needs it the most. In short, Montana will be written off for good for decades to come, as I see no further point in devoting any time or energy to it in future cycles.

Anyway, my first priority is to check up on food, clothing, ammo, medical supplies and other necessities for the coming weeks. I think it best to do so while prices are still reasonable before the post-election rush jacks up the prices. I am also carefully reviewing my home defense plan to make sure that there are no flaws it for various invasion scenarios. Finally, I plan to follow the shortest routes from work to home to minimize contact and maximize my personal safety chances.

After all, it’s good to be prepared for anything for the next few months, especially since I am not lucky enough to leave the country, right?
