U.S. Politics: The Biggest Trade in WNBA History

Someone in the Republican party apparently commented that causing a depression like the great depression - which was caused by a Republican - is a massive consequence for the entire Republican party because that's what caused them to lose the House and Senate for over 50 years.

Imagine if this happens again.

Well yeah. The Democrats had a near complete stranglehold of Congress from the 1930s all the way until the 1990s. In that time Republicans only had full Congressional control twice, those being the 80th Congress (from 1947 to 1949) and the 83rd Congress (from 1953 to 1955). The Republicans also had control of the Senate during the 80s. In the fact the 1996 elections were the very first time that Republicans had kept a House majority since the 1928 elections.

Man was apparently deported by accident despite legal protection but won't get him back because he has already been deported.

Somehow I don’t think it was by accident. More likely it’s the Trump administration completely ignoring the judge again because the king is above the law.

This has already happened many times. Even indigenous people have been detained.

They're not following the law. They're just snatching up anyone who looks even remotely Latino.

I remember the Simpson's episode that featured the 96 election. I thought the new Republican jokes were okay, couldn't understand why my dad found them hilarious. As a got older and learned more about politics I suddenly realized it. I might even have become left leaning because of him. I'm sure he would have been ashamed to be American if he'd lived to see trump win twice. I know I felt bad about it.

The Simpsons also predicted that Trump would be president and would put the country in massive debt causing America to go broke.

Keep in mind the episode aired in 2000 and Lisa was president.

And it actually meant the second time, not the first time.

Didn't they also predict Trump dying during his presidency?

How do they get so many things right anyway?

I have no words. Just fury.

Eric Prince is in talks for wanting to build US run camps in El Salvador.

The evil continues to flood in.

Just like before. The Nazis had camps in other countries.

I'm just speechless. (This is about cuts to wastewater testing in San Diego by DOGE.)

I'm absolutely disgusted. Man accidentally deported will be deported again if he tries to return to the US. The cruelty is the point.

They found him in contempt.

With Worlds coming up, one thing I’m worried about is that international attendees will be detained (&/or deported) by ICE once they arrive in the US
