(Ubers/OU) Stupid things you've seen on the ladder

While his attitude might have been poor in response to it, I don't think it's fair to say it was necessarily stupid that he assumed Altaria was Natural Cure (also consider that your opponent there is currently #4 on the OU ladder). Natural Cure sees way more usage than Cloud Nine according to usage stats too (like roughly 80/20 ratio). Cloud Nine is definitely useful, but given that burns ruin DD Altaria sets, Natural Cure is a very fair assumption.

If that assumption was made after A: The effects of weather disappeared and B: Altaria takes no sand damage, then yes it is stupid. It's not paying attention to the battle, which is not smart

That overlooks the fact that his team lost there regardless of what he did once Altaria set up. The fact that you had Cloud Nine instead of Natural Cure meant that his team literally couldn't do anything to stop it anymore. It's such a particular detail that's easy to miss because simulators don't have a huge side bar with an obvious notification of the ability like they do in the actual game. I don't think it's necessarily stupid of him that he didn't notice it given all usual circumstances, not like it made any difference whether he noticed it or not.

Friendly reminder...

- Non Mega Scizor with SD + U-turn trying to set up on a Reshiram.
- Ferrothorn with Life Orb.
- Toxic Jolteon.
- Foul Play Weavile.
- Pidgeot.
- Said Pidgeot using Heat Wave on Venusaur.
- Hyper Voice + Tri Attack Togekiss.
- Delphox.
And that's just a few.

Basically, post the things that you've seen on the ladder that are absolutely terrible, whether it's a Choice Specs Machamp, someone who Tricked you an Armor Fossil, or maybe an Eviolite Kakuna. Whatever the case is, we've all seen some things while laddering a new alt that we wish we could forget.

...That this does not include simple misprediction or any victory over someone else. Moving on.

I don't know what's worse. The Slowking sweep, or the fact that the other guy could have still won if he had used a second Dragon Pulse there at the end rather than try to get cute with U-turn.

Tyranitar used Crunch on Bisharp. Staying in was questionable but a move that can lower defense (which it did)=bad

What else was on the team with Bisharp? They could've predicted a switch, staying in with Bisharp isn't exactly the smartest move either with Superpower being common.

Okay so what you didn't see was the Explosion Ferrothorn, and Hyper Voice Politoed that again seemed like its only purpose was to set up rain so Ferrothorn could take fire attacks.
